Brinkman Maxfire Dual Xenon Rechargeable Spotlight - Review and How-To

I number them so I can better remember which one was on the charger last.

I still have #3 in the picture above...

I received my Brinkman "swirl finder" light about a month ago. From the beginning, when I charged it for the prescribed 8-12 hours, the LED would not turn off, indicating a full charge and the battery does not hold a charge for more than 1-2 days, tops. Is this common? I remember this being discussed on another thread but I could not find it.

Feed back please

The battery died in mine (it's probably 6 years old), and I found out that not only is the exact battery not available in the US, but an available battery that has slighly less capacity costs about $18 shipped, and the light isn't really meant to be taken apart.

However, yours should still be under warranty, so talk to the Geek and get a new one.

I contacted AG about my dilemma and they promptly sent me a replacement which works as desired/expected. Thanks to AG for prompt customer service.

I'm using a JetBeam BC20 as a Swirlfinder.

Is the Brinkman better at showing Swirls than my Jetbeam ?

Don't know, never used both of them side by side on the same car. I think if you read through this thread though you'll find all the benefits and features for this light clearly highlighted and shared.

Most lights people want to compare cost more and are not as versatile. Not saying they don't work better but I'm saying the cost more and are not as versatile.

So each person can decide what works best for them.

I'm taking a lunch break from my detailing bootcamp class right now as I type and I just used the Brinkmann to show the difference between where I buffed and where I have not buffed on the 1964 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery and then passed the light around for everyone else to inspect the results and it's working perfect for what I need it to do.

A little off topic, but I just noticed that the last charged date on my Brinkman was 7/12/2012 and it's still real bright.
