Specifically for wheels/tires? I use the Mothers set for my wheels and tires and the 10" boars hair for washing my truck!!

Can you? Yes

Would I? No

Those brushes are for wheels and tires and wheel wells. I love my long handled brush and leave it for that purpose. For Door jambs I use my wash mitt or a MF towel

Well said.

FYI, I've found the tire, far left, brush does not work as good on slimmer tires that are on most newer cars because it's too wide. The contour in it prevents you from using it in any direction and having full contact between the brush and tire. It works great on bigger tires though.

Thanks guys!

Funny how I know wet sand paint but i don't even know how to clean door jams lol

Do I need to use my quality MF towels or would the Costco kind be ok?

Costco would be just fine, as long as theres no debris in the fibers that would scratch the paint in the jambs.

Not to disagree, but are your jambs painted? Would you use the MF towel on your exterior painted surface? If yes then go ahead. If no then I wouldn't do it.

I either wash my jambs when washing my car and use my wash mitt of choice. Or I use a Plush MF towel that I have for waterless washes and UWWP. And I apply my UWWP heavy to minimize any chance of marring.

If you wash & wipe down your jambs every time you wash you car it is so much easier and cleaner.

Is one $30 boars hair necessary just for your own vehicle or is the Mother's line sufficient? (For personal use)
...

I have the set but mainly only use the wheel well and tire ones: the wheel one is too harsh and I normally use a chenille for that purpose.

I've been thinking about getting the 10" boars hair for my trucks. I was concerned about scratches or swirls??

I use the smaller boars hair brushes from Wheel Woolies all the time to clean rims, grills, emblems, jams, and any recesses in the bodywork. They are worth the extra money.

For wheel wells and tires I use the Mothers brushes.

I'm running a 40 side wall and the brush is perfect, It may not have FULL contact from end to end but it cleans the tire VERY effectively.

Mother's makes the best brushes.
