Bubble in tire

With only 4k miles on them, would the tread difference of one new one make a huge difference? Maybe both rear tires will have to be replaced

Probably not unless you drive with the e-brake on a lot.
 
The tread depth difference shouldn't make a difference. If the dealership won't do anything, which they probably won't call the tire manufacturer, depending on the brand they may help you out, in some cases replace it free.
 
Yep. Tire warranty is from the tire maker. Should be a warranty flyer in your papers. I would take it in to the tire maker.

I just got off the phone with Goodyear. They gave me a claim number . I'll find out shortly if they replace it or give me a discount or give me a hard time
 
I'm taking a jack with me and taking the tire off myself. You think I'm too anal
