Hi. First post here. I'd say I'm an amateur that reads a lot.
Machine: Porter Cable XP7424
Car: Black 2018 VW Golf
Paint condition: some small-moderate scratches. Moderate swirls everywhere. Needs some love...
I ordered just ordered some Menzerna FG400 and SF3500 in order to do a 2 step polish. I never used Menzerna products.
Will be followed by some CQuartz lite or some Wax. Didn't decide yet as far as protection.
What pad would you recommend for FG400 and SF3500. I ordered a set of cutting/polishing buff and shine MF pads just to give them a try. I usually work with lake country CCS foam pads.
I have orange-white-green-black-blue in hand.
Right now my plan is:1st step FG400 with MF cutting pad + 2nd step SF3500 with with green foam pad. Good idea?
Should I stick with foampads or I'll have better results with MF pads? To what I understand, MF cutting pads is slightly more aggressive than the orange pad will be. And will leave more haze than foam.
Any tips using FG400/SF3500 are welcome
Thanks
