Buff OR Hand Polish???

I will very soon be buffing out my NEW Paint Job [1st time - using a DA =G110] and my question is, I know from reading that one is to stay away from edges and high points etc. So, like there is a high point right down the middle of my hood, and corners on the hood and top of fenders [for example] - should I stay away from all of these with my new DA Buffer and do these areas by HAND?

You'll be fine using your G110 everywhere on the vehicle. You really only need to worry about that is when you are using a cicular polisher aka rotary. If you are using 4" pads you should also pay close attention. However with 5.5" - 7.5" pads with the G110 you'll be perfectly fine to do all of the paint my machine.
