Buffing over decal ?

How do you guys go about buffing over or around decal and pinstripes do you guys tape off and do by hand around these areas or simple buff over the real quick? Thanks.

Tape them off....and go around them carefully....if need be then do them hand.

I go over them while I wax but not buffing. They need to be waxed too.

If you use a polish or compound you will scratch them. I avoid them when polishing then when I am done I will hand wax them.
