Thanks for the review. I've been eyeing the video myself and can be found locally for the Hawaii "geeks". But kept balking when I saw the price. I might actually spring for a copy a broaden my knowledge of detailing.

Z06-Goose - my pleausure, glad you enjoyed it.

tod071 - It sure will broaden your knowledge, I lost count how many times I've seen it :D. Your lucky you can pick it up localy, I had to pay for the shipping and the brokerage cost and so on...lets just say it wasen't very cheap for me...but still worth it.

I got my dvd from Kevin yesterday, and have seen it 3 times. It think it was worth it, I now have some new things to try out :D I will rate it the same as Nica, 8 out of 10. I wanted some wet sanding to.

You got it pirex, man that was fast...nice!

The video goes through some neat stuff but it just seemed to be missing that extra topic wet sanding. Good video though really like it.

Glad my review did the video some justice.....hey now we are Metabo bro's and video bro's...saweeet!

Thanks for sharing pirex.

One thing I forgot to mention the more times you see it the more you get out of it, well at least that's what happend to me.

I bought the DVD about two months ago. Very informative and covers quite a bit of info, but I guess there will always be something missing for someone. Wet sanding would have been the icing on the cake. Because of the DVD, I am seriously considering the purchase of a Metabo. Always been afraid to take the plunge into rotary polishing but after seeing the video, I realize with proper technique using the right pads and starting at slower speeds, I can reduce the chance of damaging my paint. This is the best DVD offered by anyone to date in my opinion and well worth the price.

well if you look at polishing, it is what it is... if you polish something, it's to make it shiney, and noted that wax is a protectant. although, waxes with the right mix can add shine. paint comes from factory with shine... wear and tear covers the shine. a true cut polish cuts away the oxidation and scratches and swirls and shows the shine again... wax protects againts things that destroy the shine.

as far as wet sanding... i took a 4 day course from rightlook.com and they covered wet sanding... normally they only do it for severe damage and to take away orange peel. we did a hood of a car. wet sanded 3000 grit from front of hood to rear... only one direction. sanded until nothing but haze. then you start on most aggressive wool pad and true cut compound and work your way down to finishing pad and whatever you top it with. i have the dvd that rightlook gave me and would be willing to share if anyone interested.
