Bug removal?

Dryer sheets are made from the majority substance a microfiber towel is made of. I've never marred my vehicle with one, perhaps, because the bugs come off so easy. I doubt it will strip any protection too. They work so well because of the chemicals on them and not so much because of the fiber material. I've put a dryer sheet in a water bottle and just used the liquid, works well too.

For Rinseless Washes I have found that Optimum Power Clean at 3.1 works good and can be washed off with a pump sprayer with ONR. I am wanting to try 3D Bug Remover and I understand it can also be used during a Rinseless Wash and wiped off with ONR or Waterless Wash, but Autogeek does not currently offer the product for sale at this time

I received one of the(not sure which brand, but I think all the pbmg ones are the same) bug and tar sponges as a free gift. After the first time using it, I added a couple to my cart for my next order. I just soak mine in whatever wash product I'm useing. My only pretreat is my wash. I just wash then come back with the sponge it needed. They work really well and seem safe.

I sometimes use one with a citrus solvent on lower body panels for tar removal if it is bad and/or a white vehicle, before claying.

Does anyone use Duragloss bug remover? When I need it, I find it works well.

Why do you prefer it over the Bug Scrubber? I've used the DP/McKee 37 one for several years now and really like it, but it's now starting to "crumble" and needs to be replaced. I'm always open to try something else if it works well.

It's not highly abrasive, does an outstanding job and if cared for properly will last a long time.

I currently use dryer sheets but recently got one of the "bug sponges" and I am eager to try. As far as the dryer sheet marring the paint, I feel the threat is more from the bugs themselves with ALL of these methods mentioned here. I don't believe there is a single product that can fully soften the exoskeleton of an insect. So IMO the threat of marring/scratching is present anytime we attempt to remove bugs.

PB Bug Squash works fine, but glass cleaner seems to work just as well and not as pricey.

What did you try that works great? PB Bug Squash or Glass Cleaner?

I think he meant glass cleaner. Think about it, glass cleaner has to be able to clean bug guts off your windshield. Glass cleaner works great as a bug presoak. I have nothing against specialty products, but it's getting out of hand. I'm trying to consolidate my products so I don't have to have 100 bottles of stuff in my garage (I'm not a pro). Glass cleaner is a reasonable substitute for bug remover, so I'm eliminating bug remover from my arsenal.

Optimum powerclean, is awesome melts the bugs right off, I'm about to start using 3D bug remover, but opc is awesome

Another vote for the bug scrubber sponge. Got one free with an order a while back. I don't know how I got by without one for so long.

I need a bug scrubber here in n.c. when im trying to bang out a quick wash vac windows on some of these customers cars i spend more time claying the front end than it takes me to wash the whole car.....time=money$$
