Going on a trip soon. Anything to spray/apply to my painted bumper to keep the bugs from sticking so bad? I want to be able to wash them off easier after a I get home.

They is a wrap you can put on the front. Kinda like cling wrap. Or just buy a bra for long trips. Store it in the garage when not needed.

Depends on the bumper but PB QD+ works for me... Makes them wipe right off... Just got back from a 300 miles trip, bugs wiped off.

wax really well prior to leaving .. and then keep a nice soft MF towel and small travel size spray bottle of Poorboys BugSquash with you.

I really like using a QD that gives great slickness for this kind of thing. Meg's Ultimate QD, Zaino Z-6, Opt Car Wax, etc. If you are driving during the day, don't run with your headlights on, the bugs love the light.

I agree, that stuff really works, let it soak for a few minutes and bugs wipe right off.

I have read about various products being used to remove bugs such as PB's, SC Grime Destroyer, Optimum Power Clean, 1z insect, Duragloss, and of course just plan car soap and detailer.

Anyone know what chemical component in them makes one better suited for removing bugs (especially older ones) than another? Duragloss says it does not remove wax but that sounds like it will also not remove bugs as well.

diamonite bug blocker. though no longer available, the product does exactly what your looking for. might be able to grab some somewhere with a google search.
