I'm looking for a good quick detail and clay lube that I can get in bulk. Right now I use Meg's QD or UQD that I buy OTC. Recommendations?

I'm thinking pretty much any concentrated waterless or rinseless wash can mixed up to use as a detail spray or clay lube

This. I hear great things about Garry Dean's IUDJ.

I use ONR or Ultima waterless wash concentrate, both diluted to recommend clay lube dilutions. That's gonna be your best value out there.

1 gallon of ONR will make you around 64 32 oz. bottles of clay lube. Go for it!

Ultima's Waterless Wash + Concentrate is my vote, 1/2 of mixes with 22 oz of water for clay lube. Plus I find it glides much better than ONR (personal opinion.)

all of the CG quick detailers are available by gallon. I dont normally interchange the 2 (lube and QD). I use CG Luber for clay which awesome for slickness but not the best QD and V07 for QD which is vice versa. A QD with some protections and a horrible lube.

If you want somethin you can get easily OTC pretty much anywhere. That new TW waterless wash that has been getting a little bit of coverage here.

Like everyone says, buy a rinseless and make clay lube and QD out of the gallon. Most of them are 8 oz added to a gallon jug, topped with water makes a gallon and 4 oz's w/ water top off to a gallon makes clay lube. Now right there you've only used 12 oz of the total 128 oz's in the gallon and look how much you made, heck, you could even use the rinseless wash for other things, like washing your car, LOL!

Optimum instant detailer...onr doesnt match up to it and is easier/faster to apply. Can do 1:4 dilution so 1gall really makes 4. But if you only need it for claying then ONR would be fine.

Can Finish Kare be diluted down? If not, it looks like 1 gal ONR will be the ticket. Garry Dean's IUDJ is just ridiculously expensive at $160 a gallon. That's almost as bad as printer ink!

That's a lot of money for sure but its said this product is "super concentrated', i.e. a 1/4 of an ounce is good enough when doing a rinseless wash, well atleast in the wash bucket with the mf towels and 1 gallon of water, not sure what the ratio is in the pre-wash spray bottle.

Agreed. I'm looking for the most cost effective product. Hence why I asked if Finish Kare was concentrated. :props: If you have some IUDJ, I'd love to try it, and would gladly reimburse you for a sample. You're only 15 mins away from me at most. I'm right next to Park Ridge.
