picked up a new nissan xterra pro-4x last saturday. i am done with jeeps poor build quality. i had interior water leaks that could not be attended to, so was offered a great deal on this 12 (new) xterra. i lost nothing. detailed with BF P&S and topped with BF CRYSTAL SEAL.

LOVE IT SO FAR! the 4.0 has gobs of torque. 225 miles as of today. first nissan. just more refined and also fun to drive.

if you look close, you can see the toyota reflection.

Good looking truck. Being a 2012 I would assume the dealership had washed it at least a couple times??

as luck would have it the paint was pristine. 6 miles on it. all i had to do was some BF on it.

That's great! Usually not the case. I'm sure you'll love the truck.

Sorry to hear you couldn't get the leak problems fixed. Enjoy the Xterra. I was looking at them first before I went with the Jeep instead.

seems like you get a good one (or not). the 12's have been riddled with interior leaks. i swore i would never get another after my 07. again, nothing personal against the wrangler, but when you start ownership with a leak after the first heavy rain, not a good feeling. it was off/on for the 8 months of ownership. i got tired real quick. and it does not help, i am super picky when it comes to my vehicles. so i did what was right for me.

so far love the xterra. no issues right off the bat. here is a little history on the 2012......

Yeah I did get a good one. I think all the years have the "few" that get leaks. I think it's a combo of removable top, folding windshield, and poor design on the removable hard top. I do know I was worried I'd have leaks but so far I seem to be ok. Are you off-roading with the X or just daily driver?
