Hello all!

I wanted to make sure that it was okay to use cquartz dlux on my headlights, it says it is good for plastic but i just wanted to verify before hand! also can I use just a regular polish on the headlights to clean them up?!

Steve

Yes, Dlux works great on headlights. Use any polish, but be sure to IPA before applying Dlux.

Anyone have advice on how to apply DLux to headlights?

I did some searching and saw 3 different techniques:

1) Apply thin and leave to cure without buffing off (this is recommended for smooth plastics on the CarPro website)

2) Apply and buff off immediately with a MF towel

3) Apply, allow to cure for 5 min, then buff off with clean side of the suede applicator cloth

Any input on these, or other methods of application? Thanks!

I do number one with a suede cloth with light coats. On clear and smooth plastic (headlights) you will be hard pressed to see any high spots, thus no need to wipe to level off.

It's on my headlights currently, along with anything plastic on the exterior and rubber around my windows.

On most of the trim I just left it on and it looks amazing. It beads better than my paint. For my hard rubber around my doors I applied waited about 5/10 minutes and buffed off with a suede microfiber carpro towel.

For the headlights I applied, waited about 5 minutes and again used a clean suede carpro towel.
