C Quartz??

I'm getting more and more customers in my detail shop that are inquiring about a clear coat application, such as what I've seen on AutoGeek. Any of you guys used anything like this? Pros and cons.

Don't forget to consider CQuartz Classic also. Uk was designed for applications in cooler and more humid environments (hence the name). Classic has some complaints in the prior versions and many made the transition to UK but let me reassure you that the new Classic is great and worth a try.

With the OLD Classic you could apply the whole car and flash time was ridiculously long (especially if temps were down closer to the 50-60F) but now flash time is about 2-5 minutes. It is also easier to find out if it flashed because you just have to check for resistance on wiping off rather than a visual cue of flashing (rainbow effect or some degree of opacification)

Either way you will be happy!! If it is something you do often I would also recommend that you IR cure your CQuartz. Believe me when I tell you that they just get better with baking.

I just used cquartz for the first time on my vehicle, my last car had opticoat. It looks great and was easy to apply. However it was a pain to remove, it flashed too quickly for me. I couldn't let it go more than 2 minutes before it was a streaky mess.

The look is super wet and deep, much better than OC. However be ready to fine tune your removal technique.

Cquartz is a very good option and I especially agree with the above comment on the new Classic Cquartz. However this time of year is perfect for CQ UK.

For removal, I find it's best to stick with using the Micro Suede towels. They help alot in removing the product without leaving streaks.

They sure are!! Got them in a few weeks back and they are great. I wish I could have sprung for the 2000watts 1615HT version but budget said no!
