Hey guys!!

So over the last two days, I did a minor correction and polishing work on my MB.

In another thread I posted how I was having issues with the durability of Exo on my other car, and I feared I may be having the same on this one. TBH it wasn't as bad, but I still decided to strip it off.

DIRTY!

Really want/need a dolly system!

Raceglaze brushes work amazing for tight areas

Majority of wheel cleaning is done with a boars brush. I found the medium green one was too aggressive and swirling

Using CG Citrus Wash + Gloss, great cleansing shampoo

So after drying and cleaning up a few things, I was ready to start with the polishing

The car have hardly any imperfections or marring, so I decided to go with SF4500 and a Black/Grey CCS pad.

Prepped the surface with Eraser, I have mine in a pressure sprayer. Works great!

LSP

Now if there was a faster way to ship, I would have loved to use some of my new Dodo's that are coming. But that'll be for another day!

Certain waxes, I dont want cross contamination, for example the Matte wax and the Gloss waxes would never mix for the sake of a Matte finish. Now I have these little bags for all of my waxes and sealants... Little OCD I guess.

Used Migilore on the tires and 303 on the wells

I have more pictures going up on my site soon!!

Thanks for reading!

Just wondering, when polishing how come you put the product on the car instead of the pad?
I thought that method was for mainly rotary?
i know the 3401 is a forced rotation just curious as to why you doing it that way?
good job on the car!

Bravo! great job. Thanks for posting. How easy is shield to work with? So much for EXO.

She's a beauty! I love the shot of the vapor/fog rolling in the garage. I do the same baggie thing with my modest LSP selection. Enjoyed the post! My wife thinks that WeatherTech's look to industrial in cars, I can't wait to show her you're pics of the Merc!

The forced rotation allows you to pick up the bead like a rotary, and I have just come accustom to doing it that way. Plus it looks cool.

Thanks tho!

Thank you!!

Honestly the easiest wax to work with. I put it on the vinyl trim and weather stripping, no staining. It technically is a WOWO wax, but I do the entire car, then buff it off. Doesn't really make a difference if its wet or dry. For best results apply it, do another coat, then wait 24 hours for it to cure. Come round with a nuba QD and give it a good wipe. Its interesting how much glossier it gets after its cured

So much for Exo is right! It will be interesting to see what people say after some time. I did exo the 3401 tho!

Very thorough, outcome is amazing.

Thanks man!

Good practice with the waxes! I love the mats. Spray with APC, let them it, pressure wash and dry off. Come out like new. I would love to find a sealant for them that doesn't make them slippery.

lol hahahahaIm the MAN oh ok just wondering

Wow Andrew that AMG was filthy! I bet you have a bunch of snow up there.

Car looks much better now that it is cleaned up. I may have to put some kind of sealant on my 3401 as well. Lol

That was one dirty AMG. Nice clean up and nice pics too.:dblthumb2:

So realistically, how does she do with all the snow?

Lots of snow, get about 2-3 inches a week. I figure with all of the beating it gets, why not. Thanks though!!

The ESP on makes everything worse; nearly caused 3 accidents. Once at the lights, I was on ice, foot off the brake, the ESP kicked in when the car was idling. Anything really cold where road salt stops working, the car is undrivable. Haven't got stuck yet tho! Also at really cold temps, she has a hard time starting :( .

That's why I'm glad I don't have any of that stuff on my truck. Wish I did have TC some times, but plenty of times I'm glad I don't. How much snow do you guys have so far this winter?

Gotta love AMG! Nice work and beautiful car! I recently did an E63 Amg and loved it! That exhaust tone is so deep and masculine, I fall in love every time I hear one cranked over!

Honestly I prefer rear wheel drive in the snow, its more predictable.

Our annual snow fall isn't too high actually. About 46 inches of snow. We do get the most sun out of all the Provinces though so I can't complain.

How about you?

Thanks!!!

Was it a 6.2 or a 5.5?? I love mine, it pops and growls. I want to take the cats and the res out so it will spit flames

That would be pretty sweet! You'll start to scare people!

It was a 6.3 that i did!
