Its actually not a halogen, it is an LED light from HD. About 2500 lumens. LEDs have their advantages and disadvantages. On light colours like silver and white, they are superior. For dark colours though they really struggle to show up the slight holograms and wax residue like a halogen does. I also prefer it because of the lack of heat.

Is there a reason why u apply the wax my hand? what are the benefits of it?
 
Well when you apply the wax by hand, you are effectively remelting it and letting it harden again on the surface. All of the SV waxes actually have carnauba flakes in them that need to be melted or broken down to be spreadable. Now all of this can be perfectly applied with an applicator. But Mystery, Crystal Rock, and a bunch high end waxes have enzymes that are heat activated. Using your hands actives the enzymes. I personally find hand applied wax looks better, beads better and lasts longer.

It is also a fun way to do it and helps with the man and machine bond.
