Thoughts? I think it looks beautiful, and with 625 ponies and over 635 ft. lbs of torque it will surely get up and go.

I really like the subtle changes to the exterior they did, the grille, splitter, side skirts, wider wheels/tires, and the targa top. Wonder what the price tag will be? It beat the zr1's time on their test track.

Looking forward to seeing it at the Chicago Auto Show next month, has 650 ft/lbs of torque, more than the C6 ZR1 and only down 18 hp to it, not bad but seeing people are putting down 408-411 hp with the C7, I'd say they're "low balling" the real numbers, can't wait to see what the ZO6 puts down! One can only wonder about the ZR1 though, will they make another one and will it be twin turbo with 750 hp and 800 ft/lbs of torque, one can only hope! I say turbo because its needs something to make it stand out from the Z51 and Z06, just my .02 cents.

It's a sick car. But i am a bit disappointed in the fact that it will use a slush box automatic transmission. I won't rule it out yet, but so far i'm highly disappointed. Having owned a couple dual clutch transmission'ed cars so far and my first slush box auto recently (335I), i don't think i will ever go back to a manual or slush box auto. I drove my friends IS-F a bunch of times, and i wasn't all that impressed with a performance oriented slush box automatic.

It will be optioned with a 7 speed manual or an 8 speed automatic.

That hasn't been announced whether it has a dual clutch trans. The auto trans has paddle shifters too.

removable top, digital data recorder, automatic as an option, and many other requests from the Corvette faithful. Chevy is finally listening and no doubt will sell a ton of them. It will be interesting to see if GM/Chevy limits them due to CAFE standards.

Not sure about "selling a ton of them" with prices "starting" at $100K, LOL!

Not true. It was announced it will be a slush box auto as of the time you posted

With it being an "all new" autotragic you'd think it would atleast be a modern one. I hope the majority opt for the 7 spd, make your voice heard about sportscars, especially hi powered ones, should have 3 pedals! Yes, yes I'm a dinosaur.....and proud of it!

I like the new Z06, I'm more interested in the ZR1. At 100k for Z06, Id imagine the ZR1 is gonna be way more...

Cool car, but I would have preferred another 427 over a supercharged engine.

I really hope and pray that the C7 ZR1 has an automatic transmission...
with whatever amount of "speeds" the GM engineers want to put in it...
along with it having a 'true' F1 paddle-shift...as options.

It doesn't matter to me how much they will cost:
I may be physically handicapped...
But my wallet sure isn't!!

I thought I heard it was sub 100k with all the options ticked.

I still want a c6 z06. But that green on the c7's look so beautiful.

Hahah you guys are a little dated on your info. Gm has officially said the car will still be under $100k with ALL options and that if you can afford the current z06 you'll be able to afford this one. I'm not a huge fan of an auto compared to dct but their auto shifts 800th of a second faster than a pdk...that's insane considering how fast pdk is. Also there are no plans for a zr1 just can't remember if it's from gm's mouth but I think it was

Humble....VERY humble...:updated:

In other news, I couldn't agree more about the Lime Rock Green on the new C7, its really stunning and I can't wait to see one in person this spring:dblthumb2:

Thanks.

In my humble opinion:
Better than always misspelling:
automatic; and America.

Bob

Examples.....oh yeah, autotragic and Merica' or Murica, raises my hand, yes, that's me but only me, ofcoarse. You see "autotragic" is a play on words that some of us have for perf cars w/ 2 pedals and yeah I know Lambo and Ferrari's have them now exclusively but its just taking a stand for what you believe in and not going down w/o a fight! Now Merica' or Murica, well, its on the cover of Motor Trend magazine, maybe you should write them one of your over worded paragraphs about it, surely they'll publish that, check out that cover if you don't believe me, its February 2014 with the goldish colored Mustang on the cover.

Oh yeah, speaking of "Klasse", who posts about not having a handicapped wallet. I'm truely sorry you have a handicap, I really am but doing nothing short of posting your W2's is "Klasse-less", people with money don't usually do this sort of thing.

I've seen the green in person. I was disappointed. Just looks like a dirty color. But I'm not a big fan of green cars anyway.

Actually saw a Cyber Gray one yesterday and I'm sure I'll see A LOT of them come spring, especially after this winter! Just this past Sat I saw a Gallardo Spyder, GT-R and 2 930 Turbos, people are getting anxious!
