I have two - one is over 10 years old, the other less than 6 months. I did decide to hand wash my older one. I just threw it in a water bucket, squirted a little SG and let it soak for 1/2 day. Fortunately it was a dry, hot day and it took about a day to dry. Follow the directions on the label. The water was very dirty. After drying it did seem to be back to normal.
I am happy on the use of a CA duster. However as Clint said, "you have to know the limitations". This product is a duster, not a product that is intended to remove dirt or grime. Living in So. California, that pretty much fits the bill here. It's very dry and dusty. My daily routine is after I come home from work, I do a CA dust, lightly squirt SG on some Costco MF's and do the wheels, wells, splash guards. After all that, I QD. By the time I get to the QD stage, I am fairly certain the paint has nothing on it that won't mar or swirl. It takes me on the average - 20 minutes. Maybe every other day, in addition I do the glass.
