Others are saying "Its just grass" yeah what about anything that may have been in that grass that didnt stick to the paint just peened off of it!!? What about next time when they do it and theres something in it that breaks someones windshield? Im going to get to the bottom of it and let whoever know they should be mowing with the chute pointing away from the line of cars! DOPES

That sucks big time. I really struggle to grasp how people just don't have respect for other people's things.

Wow that sucks!!! Yeah what about all the debris that didn't stick to the paint? Also, it doesn't matter if it's "just grass". The car is now dirty!!!

I agree with Don on this one. For others, it's just a car. They don't understand or respect how car geeks and enthusiasts treat their own vehicle. Wish people would understand...

Haha... "it's just grass"

Except for all the rocks, sticks, acorns, and everything else you'd find in a lawn that was shot out of that mower like a cannon at every car along the grass!

I have a similar problem with my neighbor that likes to burn leaves when it's windy and all of the ashes land on my truck, people just don't understand :(

Sorry to hear & see this crap happen to you. :(

"Just grass"...
Wonder how they'd like a bullet up their a$$?

Note:
Be interesting to see if they have a business owner's
insurance policy...with at least general liability coverage.

I had to leave the wife's car out on the street last week when my lawn service did something similar. I amicably approached them and spoke to the "supv" or whoever the MFIC was. He was extremely apologetic and understood my concern.

Yesterday they showed up and i heard a knock on my door before i heard any equipment fire up. My daughter's car was parked on the street in front of the house and the "supv" asked if i wanted to move her car! I think that was confirmation he understood my concerns.

Mind you, this was a residential service provider that may be more approachable and maybe more persuaded to comply with homeowner/customer requests. It is much more difficult in dealing with commercial service providers who are simply robots doing very large areas and have blinders on focused on the job and not seeing anything but. You still need to "go to the top" and speak to the senior worker as well as talk to the landlord of the property to maybe get the same affect i had by simply stepping outside and politely asking. You may be that .001% of the parkers in that lot...the other .999% don't care! But i'll be damned if my .001% doesn't get them to at least buy me a Dr. ColorChip kit when they're done if they don't comply.

Admins - why does the percent key display "&#37"?

You'd be surprised if you approached the worker. Same thing happened to me at my business park. Saw the guy blowing debris all over. I politely explained my concern (He even complimented my car) and for the next few months, the location where I parked wasn't cleaned. I even saw the crew using brooms more. One day I was leaving while they were cleaning and the worker asked me if I could park in a different location next Tuesday. It wasn't until then, that I realized they were making a concerted effort. It's been about a year and I still haven't seen them blowing debris around (or off cars, I did see this once) since. I now drive my beater or ride my bike on Tuesdays.

I'm very fortunate, the crew that cuts the common ground areas are super respectful of the cars

+1

And to the original post subject. I feel you. The maintenance company at my condo complex love their leaf blowers. If I park outside of my garage they routinely blast the dust off the ground onto wherever, including the parked cars. No clue or care.

There has to be at least 20-25 cars lined up at that fence where they mowed right into our cars. It appears that it may be someone in house... I will find out Monday morning.

I hate these guys!!!!!! They always show up as soon as my car is washed/detailed and driving around with these monsters spraying staff around like no tomorrow, and my car looks like he eaten all the grass around ,and they so quick mf,can't catch them !!!! As soon as I hear they broom gargling ,I jump in my car and run away as fast as I can !!!!

I've never seen a parking lot where that doesn't happen....unless they mow after hours. At my work place, the guys that mow stop in to chat for a minute and give us a heads up to move our cars. The guy that owns the company is a friend of mine and he knows how "ocd" I am about my car(s).

I think all mowing companies should have a specific schedule they adhere to in parking lots like that. No doubt cars are being rock chipped, scratched, etc. when they're mowing and trimming one foot away.

I own a commercial lawn service and that mess on your car is the result of what we call a Hack.We care for 200 or more owners a day 5 days a week year round.Accidents do happen however we have special chutes installed on our machines to prevent that from happening. The discharge is completely closed when working near cars or people traffic.Three years ago we had a hydro steering pump(one of two)go out next to a brand new BMW. The damage to the car was sad.The owner was out of town for a month so we could not even fix it until he got back.He was very happy that we left him a note explaining how his car got wrecked because none of his neighbors new what happened. My cost were zero except for my yearly premium for commercial liability. He sold the car after he fixed it.Hope it helps to know you have every right to blame the mowing crew.Good luck.
