Hello

Newbie, can this be corrected with a PC. What correction rate % will I achieve? I don't care if it is easier with a rotary or I'll get better results because I not about to try it with a rotary.

Take a look at the 2rd pic (front passenger door). It looked like the other 2 pics before I applied by hand 3 applications of ScatchX, divided door into 6 sections, 3hrs.

Ok here's my product list
PC, Edge 2k 6" pads, FPII, PoorBoys SSR 2.5 , OC. I'm guessing I'll start with LightCut pad with Poorboys SSR2.5. I will use Mezerana FPII for final polishing.

Yeppo, you can get rid of those swirls. 100%, I didn't see any "scratches that looked very deep. Those are the only things it wouldn't cure to my knowledge. You own those gouges however.

It's also gonna depend on your how hard your clear is. One of my friends had a black Range Rover that was soft/easy to work, now he has a black Rover Sport and the paint is hard as nails.

Dang! You got some work ahead of you. PC will work!

A PC will likely take care of it. A rotary will take care of it quickly.;)

If I can take these out:

And virtually eliminate these:

Than you can definately take yours out.

Yes Rover, as everyone else said, that will come out. That is exactly how my Black Bonneville looked when I tackled it last fall. My car seems to have some pretty hard clear as I didn't get it 100%, but for my first crack I was pleased. I had to resort to an Orange pad and go over the car twice with Optimum Hyper Compound. So you may be in for a couple passes with the SSR 2.5 or OC (I think they are supposed to be very similar in cut).

Thanks for the reponses. I'm glad you guys think they can come out. I can't fill any of them with my fingers. I had posted these same pics on another forum and they all said WOW you are going to have to work your ass off and use the strongest stuff out there like Merenza Power Gloss to remove them.

Here's the Qtr Panel

You might have missed my post above, but they could be saying that b/c Rovers are 50/50 on hard/soft paint. Like I said a friend had a black Rover that was easy to do, and now has a black Rover Sport and the paint was hard as heck, even with Opitmum Compound it took forever, and the swirling was really no worse then his previous Rover.

Either way, give it a shot, just remember to work the polish in with a little pressure and move slowly.

Dang!!! That second set of pictures with scratch looking things in the paint look HORRIBLE!!! i cant believe a PC can remove those!

Um...is it just me but I can't see the pictures...would really like to see the pictures please.
