Can Coat EVO v Sonax CC36 v Meguiars HPC

Meg's is extremely easy to use for sure......I picked up that new Cerakote ceramic spray to try and it suspiciously smells like the Meg's hybrid coating.
It goes on even faster and easier....not sure about the durability on it though...

Bosko how do like the Cerakote? How is the hydrophobics?

In his video, I believe Sandro commented about how the Meguiars Hybrid Coating actually smelled good and was part of the reason it was enjoyable to use. When I recently tried Cancoat Evo for the first time, the only thing I did not like about it was the strong chemical smell. For those of you who have tried both, does the Meguiars have a noticeably more pleasant and tolerant scent than Cancoat Evo?

Just to add to the thread topic, here are the full retail prices these products command in Australia -

Meguiar's Hybrid Paint Coating Kit - $149.99

Sonax CC36 Kit - $228.00

Gyeon Can Coat Kit - $79.99

And for comparison, Carpro Lite Kit - $89.95

For me, the Sonax and Meguiars are just not worth entertaining at that price. For less money, I can shop a variety of coatings that offer much longer durability claims.

This is not hating on any of these products as I believe they all have something to offer. I also think the "sleeper" aspect of Meguiars Hybrid Paint Coating comes down to the retail prices, most associate Meguiars with value for money, once they break free of that boundry they lose their core customer's base. Then, those who would pay the asking price are more than likely shopping boutique brands or pro-level coatings.

Crazy prices. Your not missing out on the Sonax or Meguiar’s products.

CanCoat and CQ lite are good option and prices pretty decently for you.

No that is false. HPC has a chemical scent. Its not a horrible smell but I surely wouldn't categorize it as pleasant.

How did you find the application of Nova EVO? There was a thread here a while back where the author had a bad install with it, so I have been a little hesitant about the product.

Hopefully goes on this or next month. I’ll post some updates

Unless discounted at the big automotive stores, most Meguiar's products are expensive in Australia. I guess having a manufacturing base in Asis keeps a lid on costs for brands like Gyeon and Carpro.

Most American products, detailing or otherwise, are much more expensive in this country than what you guys pay in the USA. Some of that is currency conversion, a lot of it is shipping costs and retailer markups.

A product I really like from Megs is their Hybrid Ceramic Detailer. In the USA, it retails for about $15.00 for a 26 oz bottle, the exact same product in Australia at full retail is $46.00. It's a great product, but so are many others at half the price.

I like Sandros content and will listen to someone that has been doing it for over 20 year's
