Hi everyone.

I'm a newbie with the PC and have my beater car to play around with it and while I await my new kits that I bought here (Thanks Meghan and Penny!), here's what I have and am looking for some suggestions:

* Adams swirl & Haze remover
* Adams Revive polish
* Adams Buttery Wax
* Adams Detail Spray
* Meguires clay bar


I'm just wanting to familiarize myself with the PC and work on the trunk. Maybe half of it and like a "before" and "after" to see the results.

Do I have enough stuff to work on it? If so, what order should I use the stuff mentioned above since it's all I have until the stuff mentioned below arrives around Sept 5th?

What did I buy here @ AG? I got the Souveran Sizzling Shine Kit right here and also got the Pinnacle XMT Intermediate Swirl Remover Complete Kit and the autogeek tool bag Im the MANIm the MAN

It looks like you have enough of the Adams stuff to play with the buffer until the newer stuff arrives. Try out the swirl remover and a white pad with buffer on full speed working a small area about 1/2 a panel at a time. Use the lighter polish with lighter pad to jewel the surface and then wax to protect.

thanks a ton for chiming in... I appreciate it. I forgot to mention that I have some of the Zaino stuff as well. I know I have the Z5 but can't remember what else I have. I'm really getting excited to try this PC out. Can you tell? :righton:
 
Just to follow-up, can you tell which side I used the PC on? LOL.

I used the PC with the orange pad and the Adams Swirl and Haze remover followed by detail spray.

I bet this thing will really shine up once I get the kits that I placed, eh?

This is what the hood looks like on my beater car. What's the best way to get this clearcoat off and what needs to be done once the clearcoat is all gone off the hood?

Looks like you practiced with a rotary on the mazda--ha
 
Best way to get the clear coat off that hood would be to sand it. If you're looking to just sand it off, and polish afterwards I wouldn't recommend it. You'll need to have the hood repainted.

What sandpaper (grit) should I use to sand it down?
 
The only thing that can be done for that hood is a respray
 
The hood will have to be repainted. I can recommend you a body shop not to far. Just let me know. :)

This is my beater and while I'd like to get it better looking, I can't afford to spend a ton of cash on it. Have any idea how much it would cost to get it resprayed?
