I want to seal my car before the winter officially gets here in the North East but I have a dilemma I don't have a garage (only a driveway) and I live near an expressway.

Even overnight my car will have a light layer of dirt from the highway. I fear that during the 10-12 hour required to cure (if using Wolfgang) the soot/fall out from the highway won't let it cure properly and instead will be a wasted effort.

Am I overthinking this? Also, can I use a waterless wash solution to clean expressway fallout or am I just risking my paint? Even in the cold I use a 3 bucket method (2 rinse buckets) but always thought about using waterless.

My sugestion would be some of Garry Deans products I've used them out doors with great success. Firstly waterless wash IMO, is for light dust on a car that hasent been driven since being washed. You want to use a rinceless wash method, and then only if your car is not super dirty. If thats the case than a 2 bucket is required. To get stared I would buy a 8oz bottle of IUDJ for the wash and 2oz of Juice Boost as a spray on sealant. Then just watch his vids on youtube for indepth instructions. 1 note: you can use Boost in the wash solution, but is more effective and cheaper srayed on undiluted. It last 3-4 months, and incredible gloss and slickness. Good luck!

I'll definitely look into this, yeah I assumed waterless wouldn't be enough. I don't drive my car during the week just on weekends so it is sitting in my driveway collecting soot all week, that mixed with the morning due leaves my car rather dirty by the time the weekend comes.

Do you recommend this combination of sealant over something like Wolfgang's Deep Gloss PS?

My concern is I will clay and polish the car and apply the sealant only for my car to collect enough fall out over the next 10 hours that the sealant doesn't get to bond properly thus negating the work I put in.

Put a car cover over it during the week and pull it off for weekends.

I bought a car cover but have never used it because I read that the friction of the cover causes marring in the paint. But it can't be any worse than leaving it exposed to the winter elements.

Simply use a product that doesn't require that long of a cure time. Sonax PNS requires no cure time. I'm in the same situation as you, just used PNS on our SUVs.

Or, bribe a relative/friend who has garage.

LOL, or rent a storage space, they usually charge a $1 for the first month, then cancel before you have to pay for the next month.
