Can I throw Lake Country pads in washer?

I use the towel drying method Mike has on here, works very well. I also bought a simple dish drying rack. It lifts them and allows air to access the foam when laying face down. I can fit six 6.5 pads easily at one tme.

Another good drying method is to use a cooling rack, like your wife uses to cool down the cookies or cake. Put em on top of the refig and they have warm air flowing all around.

I just put one of my buckets upside down, put the grit guard on top then dry them that way ... same idea.

Sorry, for making it long and drawn out. How is that things are taken off topic so much in a forum. I think its because Alot o the time the last reply is replied to and the original not. I am guilty of it sometimes.....again my bad.

Sorry if it seemed I was saying something bad. I was saying exactly what I meant. I was actually looking for an answer to that (as I have 12 5.5" flat pads coming on Thursday) and I stumbled upon the thread.

Sorry for any confusion.

No offense taken at all man. I just know that the answers people are looking for sometimes reside in the combination of 10 different post because topic easily changes to something else. Although it is hard to know how someone is saying something with text sometimes. I know you werent being ignorant or anything. All is good.

I used to only wash my older pad in the wash machine and my newer pads by hand. Despite numerous washings, I really haven't seen any damage to those pads in the wash machine.

What type of wash machine? Top or front loader?

I might try to wash some of my older pads in the wash machine. Do you use delicate cycle?

If I know I'll be going through quite a few pads they are thrown in a bucket with Oxyclean and water when it's time to change pads. When the job is done I wring them out a bit and pitch them in the washer. I have pads five years old that have been soaked/machine washed countless times and haven't had even one come apart. Air dry in the garage since it's usually 100º or better. Charlies Soap for pads & microfiber towels but washed separately.

Little off topic, but didn't want to start another thread. Can I use Brass wire brushes to clean caked pads? I bought a few at Wal-Mart and was wondering if I can use these to clean off the pads while buffing.

Sounds like it would do a lot of damage

Get yourself a Denture brush from wally world, they are the perfect stiffness of nylon bristle and have a small pointed set of bristles on the other end that works well for breaking up the deep caked on stuff before brushing.
