Can I use UTTG on rubber weather seals?

Thanks. External seals are in question. Spots not a problem. So, my plan with be wash and "scrub" with MF, then IPA, then dress with UTTG. Right?

You got it!

On some smooth plastics when you apply the UTTG it doesn't like to look even on it's own on some smooth plastics so may need a little help. If it is non porous material then wipe it on, leave it 10 - 20 minutes and wipe it off. Depending on plastic you may vary your method some. Textured plastic is a whole different animal.... Very simple just wipe on and walk away.

Yes, clean them first but with what depends on their condition and the products currently attached to them. Are we talking interior or exterior seals?

Thank you for taking the time to answer all these questions.

I was talking about the flexible, smooth seals that run around most of the door well opening, and the same material that runs around the doors on the inside... i.e. not visible when the door is closed. Same type of material is around the perimeter of the engine compartment and the trunk opening. I'm not describing this very well; I can take a pic if that'll help. Current condition is very good as car is only two years old, seals are still dark and still very smooth and flexible. All I've done to them so far is clean w/ vinyl/leather cleaner and apply Optimum Protectant.

Oh, I gotcha now, my mistake :props: If they are in good condition the interior seals will work with a simple wipe down with waterless wash if applying DG 531.

Rubber? Yes you can. Application differs a bit but you can and it works really well. Most likely you will decide to buff it off after a day or a week. Thats what I do and then its good for a very long time.

Now some types of weatherseal (dependant on actually seal material makeup) like underneath/inside your car door it might not be best depending on the material. For those seals I use DG 531 and buff it off 10-20 minutes after application.
That's my boy!
