Hey everyone, I have an odd type of leather damage on a project car of mine and I’m curious if anyone knows what might have caused it and if it can be repaired? It looks like it was maybe water logged at one point? I have an option to buy a pair of replacement seats but I’m sure repairing would be cheaper.

They make leather dye/paint...google is your friend...

worth a try before replacement...and being black you are already ahead of the game....good luck

Yeah I’ve definitely done plenty of googling and but wanted to ask here to see if anyone had any advice on whether it could be rehydrated or if it needs to be sanded down and repaired.

Griot's Garage has their leather rejuvenater and when I bought it I didn't know it was for OLD, neglected leather. This stuff is oily and should be your first stop because it looks like a perfect fit for THOSE seats

Thanks I've seen that video before and it's impressive but I don't have the equipment to airspray the die and sealant. Can that be applied by brush or rag? Are there any other recommendations on repair kits?
