Can you melt paste wax?

There's a thread on this forum where someone melted Megs #16 and it came out great. Almost every thread I've read on this, people use a double boiler (put wax tin in a bowl of water and heat the water). Some people heat the wax tin with the lid on (not tight), others, with it off. In the Megs #16 thread, the guy left the lid on to retain the vapors.
 
I did it :) put it In an deodorant stick. Works GREAT!

im glad it worked for u!

i was going to suggest using the wench tool that comes the with polisher and use the handle end as a butter knife and spread the wax on the pad. when i used to use paste waxes, that is what i did and it worked great.
 
I've been wondering about how to get to the edge of my 50/50 wax tin, if I ever get there.
