Was looking for suggestions on any alternatives to M105 that are more user (beginner) friendly. I do have Menz 400 and yes love it but would like another,, please help.

Meguiar's Ultimate Compound is really underrated.
When using the right pad it remove heavy defects and finishes down nicely.

Worth a shot for ten bucks!

Or you can mix 105 and UC on your pad to make the 105 more user friendly. On a primed pad 3 drops 105 to 2-3 drops UC.

Just use mineral oil as a pad primer. Makes 105 much easier to use

Great Idea thanks

and ill look into the M101

Ultimate compound then ultimate polish. I did that to my wife's very unloved 2005 Santa Fe this week.

Some reason it would not let me post two pictures from my phone

M101 kills M100 in my opinion. I just hate the dust that comes with any meguiars compounds!

the OP is stressing user friendly...

DEFINITELY use Ultimate Compound then.... M101 is THE most agressive compound in the Meg's line.... that isnt necessarily something that will help someone trying to get down their procedures...

The MOST IMPORTANT point here is to develop a proper procedure and then learn to identify the variables which inhibit or enable this procedure to preform on various paint systems..... this is the key to using any product. If this is a point of emphasis, then a detailer is equipped to adjust to any problematic situation that presents it self.

That being said: my advice to the OP is to get Ultimate Compound, learn how to use it and then over time continually attempt to use 105 on an adjacent panel to where UC was used and compare results ..

As far as dusting.. **MOST** of the time this is due to people over working it. 105 has a relatively short cycle time compared to 100.... So perhaps re-evaluate your section sizes... got to 18"x18" and make 4 section passes rather than 5-6...

105 will dust less due to higher environmental humidity as well. So if you are in the Arizona summers compared to those of Louisiana, of course it will dust more in bone dry Arizona.

Better yet mix the 105 and Ultimate compound together in a bottle.
80% 105 to 20% Ultimate compound.
You won't lose much cut if any and won't have to worry about it "Gumming up on you"

Great way to help you learn how to use the 105 being there's sort of a learning curve to it.

Ever thought of trying the Wolfgang Uber Compound?
Over all it's the best IMO

Well said.

The Ultimate products I used were very easy to work, I really liked them. It is amazing how good of results you can get from them and they are cheap on top of it.
