Cant get this stuff out of my bumper

Dave: I use super clean and that doesnt seem to help
Blackhawk: The first time was all by hand when the first 2 pics were taken. Last night i used the pc7424 w the orange & yellow pads and m105. Today is when i started w the rubbing compound, scratch x and m105. Im not sure why i cant remove them. I have watched alot of vids on how to use the pc and im pretty sure im using it right..maybe it is faulty equipment??>I did just get it friday along with a pbma foam pad kit and LC pads.

(im new to pc, just got it the other day).
This makes me go back a few years and remember when I was new to all of this stuff and recall my experiences and hard learned lessons. One of my hard learned lessons earlier on was to shrink down my work area and slow down my polisher arm speed, so that the pad and product has time to do the work.

Another hard learned lesson for me was to stop trying to compound/polish bug guts off of front bumpers and to instead begin using a product that was designed to break them down chemically. Same goes for hard water mineral deposits which can sometimes be very stubborn to impossible to remove with abrasive products without doing more harm than good.

I remember becoming determined to buff off bug guts, and a few times even tried a 4" wool pad on a rotary to do it and found myself amazed at how difficult they can sometimes be to remove. (again...this comes to mind..."im new to pc, just got it the other day")I thought I was taking a shortcut and saving money by not buying another product. What I found in the end was that a soak in Poorboy's Bug Squash easily removed bug guts that resisted being buffed off. Later I discovered that for 3 to 4 dollars I could get a bottle of Prestone Bug Wash which works even better and save a lot of time while producing better results in a safer way.

I am not over here guessing or quoting things that I don't know, but rather sharing my experience as I experienced it. As someone else mentioned, it's worth a try. One thing I can say with certainty is that the Bug Wash will not remove anymore paint from your bumper. Even if it did, or if polishing after trying a suggested method would remove a little more paint, what would it matter if quitting and taking it to have it repainted was your next step anyway?

Give it a shot and if it doesn't work, simply pour the Bug Wash into your windshield washer reservoir and drive to the paint shop. :dblthumb2:

OK...ignore my above post then.

thanks for all the advise. I can see doing a paint job later on but like i said my car is not a show car n does not need 100% but just thought the bugs on the front looked horrible n was wondering if i could hide them without getting a paintjob. Thanks again everyone.

ive been trying to but it was the prior owners who let it go.
