Got a 2015 escape on order and just received the window sticker electronically. Going to be a fun vehicle to drive with the 2.0l ecoboost! Hopefully I can find a way to coat the vehicle in the winter, I think ONR is my best bet here for a wash.

Congrats on the new ride Bill, I bet the Escape will be a fun car to drive with the Ecoboost motor!

It will be. Luckily I just heard ford is offering procal tuners for ecoboost that when used ,will not void your warranty, maybe a future option? Nonetheless, we should have some fun either way, vehicle drivers great on the focus chassis and is very quick

Hopefully they've changed what you can do with the procal tuners, I know they're pretty useless for my GT - most Tuners use the SCT handhelds...

Enjoy! New cars/trucks are the best!

Cant wait to prep, literally stoked!! My last car, I started getting into at about 5 years and learned a huge amount of info. Now with this I can do it properly and not screw around and waste my time figuring things out. All I will be doing is a light wash, clay, polish if needed and an application or 2 of collinite 476s

Add some CarPro Dlux while you're at it :props:

I have yet to get involved into paint sealants,Collinite 476s seems fine for me, I dont really know how to put it, I do see some positives to sealents such as durability but still have yet to make a switch. I just ordered 303 aerospace too which will be used on trim and the engine bay.

Funny, it gets about the same mileage as my 2001 v6 S10 did when I purchased it in 2004. So much for the "eco"-boost.lol Hopefully the fun factor makes up for any lack of mpg.
FYI, I just detailed an Escape the other day that is only about a year and a half old and it has a spot on the hood where bird-droppings or something has already eaten through the clear and into the base coat. So, I would really keep an eye on it until you can get it coated with something a little more resistant to bird poop than wax; Not that Collinite's waxes aren't good. The paint color on said Escape is the mica black, btw. Also, the glossy, black plastic trim on the door pillars is very prone to scratches, so I would refrain from touching those areas to shut the doors. Overall though, they seem pretty nice in the Titanium package.
What color is yours, Bill?

The exterior color is the black one they offer, I am sure its tuxedo black. I dont think we have the piano black plastic that you talk about. I think its just soft touch plastic . If done properly, collinite 476s should last 1 year.

Have you used Wolfgang Fusion? Just wonder if it's comparable to 476, at a tenth of the price. That gloss plastic looks nice when it's not scratched up, but keeping it that way or bringing it back is a pain. I was trying to polish the driver's door and the key pad kept lighting up; I was nervous that the alarm might go off.LOL
Can't wait to see yours with a coat of 476.

price wise, Idk exactly. Collinite is about 20.99 and offers great durability. Im not so concerned of how glossy I can get the paint, as long as it is cleaned, protected and looks nice, im fine.

Movin' on from the Audi Bill👈

My 2013 f150 is tuxedo black and I use collinite 845 have had no issues. I reapply every couple of months.
