Car Dryer

I take my nozzle off and attach a small section of hose and flood the car. Then use a waffle towel or a drying towel from a company that isn't offered here.

I have the Metro Blaster 8HP and use it every time I wash. Much more power than my Milwaukee 18v Cordless blowers but those work pretty well. Your paint has to have a sealant/coating/wax on it for this to move water well. I have mine mounted on the wall (needs a 20 amp circuit) right next to the garage door and can get to all sides of my vehicles easily. It has a quality hose. I can get 98% of the water off with this and finish with one 16x16 drying towel for the odd spot. Only way to get water out of the nooks and crannies too. I've tried going back to drying with Griot PFM towels or TRC drying towels but still prefer to blow it off first.

The other great use is if you do a touchless wash. My cars are coated and I top with sealants frequently, so unless it has rained and kicked up a lot of traffic film, a touchless wash (foam cannon and pressure rinse) works pretty darn well for me if I don't have time for a hand wash. No way would I touch my vehicles with a drying towel without a proper wash though, so I use the blower to dry them off.

I am going to purchase one and was thinking about mounting it like you said you did. Has anyone else mounted theirs to the wall? Do you use the hanger that master blaster sells? Is it secure? Do you use the 30 foot hose with it hung on the wall? The hose hanger gets poor reviews so wondering if there are better alternatives for mounting the master blaster and the hose. Thanks

My cars are all coated which helps, but between using an Ego 650CFM blower and my CR spotless rinse system I don't really have a need a towel dry my cars...The Ego in turbo mode gets 98% of the water off in minutes...

I have a CR Spotless I haven't used in years. It wouldn't be missed if I threw it out.

I use the Metro Blaster wall hanger for the vacuum, but the hose is hung above it on one of those common wall mount half circle sheet metal hangers for garden hoses. The Metro Blaster hose hanger is pretty worthless.

It’s a hassle to use and set up, it broke on me several times, and the granules are expensive.

A lot of people wish for world peace.

I wish that everyone could try a Griot's PFM drying towel. :dblthumb2:

Have you used the Gyeon silk dryer? That's my favorite I've tried. How do they compare if so?

Still with that said some like it drying.
I have a master blaster with a hose reel and a 35 ft hose. I love it. Just ceramic coated my car and it should be even easier to air dry now.

I also have not tried the Gyeon Silk Drying towel but I have read others that did and compared to the PFM and they said it’s basically the same towel in different color/size.

Since the PFM is what I got first and it’s so darn good, I haven’t tried any other drying towel.

Also, I like to stick with companies/products that have been good to me.

Griot's has provided me with everything from simple QD's all the way up to incredibly tough polishers, and will stand behind each and every one of the products.

Are they perfect? Nope.

But they always strive to be.

I bought one of the Gyeon's during a half-off sale, and honestly, I think it's the worst thing I have bought from AG. It doesn't wick up near the amount of water that my PFM's do, and then once it gets saturated, it's shot, even with wringing. I also don't think it's as soft as the PFM's, esp. the shorter-napped side. It's been relegated to window drying.
