Car Pro Essence and Pad choice

CarPro Gloss pads all the way. I'm using a Rupes 21 unless it's a tight area, then I use a rotary with a 3" Gloss pad.

I've used Meguiars MF finishing pads and found them to leave marring on most paints. I tried it on a jet black Mustang a few weeks ago and it looked awful. The Gloss pad was amazing. I did a tape line between the side with the Gloss pad and the side that I had previously polished with Menzerna 4500 with a rotary and LC blue and the gloss level was about the same, which blew me away because that was my go-to combo for a few years. Essence is easier to wipe off and leaves a durable protection to boot.

:iagree: I just used Essence with 5" CarPro Gloss pads on my Rupes 15 MKII. My first step was FG400 with Megs MF cutting pads which left a slight haze. The Gloss pads with Essence removed the haze and left a nice glossy finish. The 3" Gloss Pads on my Rupes 75 mini worked great too for the tight areas.

Rupes 15 MKII and the Mini, killer combo.

Do most of you agree with this statement?^
I was actually thinking of asking about the performance of Megs microfiber finishing pads compared to the microfiber cutting pads when paired with Essence.. Reason I was thinking about them is because I tend to feel like using microfiber cutting pads is a bit on the aggressive side, especially when it comes to a vehicle I may have already compounded and polished in the past. What do you guys think?

Yes, i used it on my video review i did on essence and it left micro marring with a mf finishing megs pad.
 
I usually get micro-marring with the mf finishing pad with most products- even if I thoroughly soak the fibers with product. I had that problem with most cars using the D301 (hazed the crap out of a black Escalade when I first started using it). It seems like it wasn't as bad on my '99 Town & Country with either D301 or Essence.

I typically use 2-3 pads going around a car, depending on how much product I use and how well I control the buildup in the pad. I would rather go through a few pads just to keep them fresh for a whole vehicle.
 
I have used Essence with BnS MF Finish pads and the CarPro Gloss Pads. The gloss pads are definitely awesome.
I used 3 gloss pads on the 350Z I did a few weeks ago. With MF Finishing pads I used 4 on a small car.
Also read on the CarPro site they work well with the Scholl Concept Spider Pads.
