What car soap can I use in the sun? Garage is full of moving stuff and will need to wash / clean our cars outside.

THANKS!!!

I have found both Adams Car Shampoo and NV Snow to be forgiving when used in the sun.

I’ve used P&S Pearl a couple of times in the sun with great success.

I was going to mention Pearl as well, like you say it seems to perform well in the sun.

The reason why I held back on Pearl was the lack of foam I get from it. Not sure if this is particular to my bottle or Pearl in general. I will say however, it does rinse well after the wash.

I've used McKee's 37 Sio2 Auto Wash in the sun without any problems at all.

Maybe I'm over-simplifying things, but every soap I've ever used saw direct sunlight. My driveway has no shade at all and working in the evenings/dawn when the sun isn't as direct/intense often isn't an option.

Any issues I've encountered aren't because of the soap. They are all environmental. In hot, direct sunlight, stuff simply dries/evaporates quickly. I'll simply adjust my technique, like working smaller areas and paying attention to where the water is going, to prevent water spotting.

Megs Hyperwash rinses off even if it dries on in the sun. Lessons from that apartment life grind. Never had issues rinsing Carpro Reset after it dries either.

But as Desertnate points out, the best way to avoid issues when washing in the direct sunlight is to do a panel at a time. I also like to use the mist setting on the hose nozzle to keep the rest of the car damp until I am done. This became more of a challenge AFTER getting a water softener as now the water is very eager to evaporate even in the slightest of breezes let alone a breeze with some sun.

MOVE FAST!

I had some pretty bad water spotting with P&S Pearl. It also didn't seem to rinse off as quickly as some other soap I've used.

My latest go-to is Koch-Chemmie GFS with a little ONR mixed together.

When did Autogeek stop selling Mckee's? I think they have one that worked great in the sun.

Yeah Mckee’s and Adam’s both say their soaps are Sun friendly.
