car was hit today

Yup. Keep your bases covered. The other thing that will keep you at ease is the arbitrators assigned to your case, they've been doing this for years. They can tell just from looking at the damage who's fault it is.

Here's the other good thing about insurance companies. He might tell a different story to his company and his company might find him not at fault where as your company will find you not at fault. That's fine. As long as your insurance company finds you not liable, all is good. You'll get your car fixed and be on your way. Meanwhile, the two companies will then fight over who is liable, but you'll never know the outcome and it won't matter because your case is already closed on your end.

WOW that's great thanks for all you support and help

Thanks, I hit it with M105 which produced an very nice visual appearance to make the damaged area less noticable while parked or driving but still some chipped paint, since I reported to the insurance company I'll just go that route, was trying to avoid the deductible and higher rates for being involved in an accident, again thanks for the compliment on vehicle and your valued opinion.
I had that same car with 7k miles on it. Then spent 9 k on tires and rims spoilers and a complete upgrade sound system with tv.wife was on fla turnpike and ran over a rim,it sheared thru the floor pan from front to back.progressive was my ins company,I did all there fleet and called the mgr told him that I'm paying 920 a month for this car and I don't want it fixed he totaled it.

Until the insurance agent did an appraisal; and the
body-shop's estimates had been submitted for
approval; I sure would not have done any type
of compounding/polishing.
