car wash soap

I'm using Optimum's new formula car wash along with DP Xtreme foam and 2 other brands...I gotta say, I'm missing the PB Super Slick n Suds. I guess it must be the water that comes out of my pipes or something but of the two named, I've not found either to be as slick. Subconsciously, I think I expect to smell the PBSSS scent and not that chemical banana scent that Optimum gives off...ya, I'm weird.

how does duragloss compare to optimum soap??

No such thing as wax in soap, they have gloss enhancers, so the car looks nice and shiny
I've seen some OTC waxes with carnauba. In particular, RainX has a product at Autozone called "Rain X / 20 oz. High Foaming with Carnauba Wash and Wax".

I used to think it didn't matter and just picked up some cheap crap at the autozone. It is pretty bad and leaves residue all over the car. So now I save a few $$$s on soap I have to go over it with detailer to get it off.

Gonna go pick up some gold class tonight.

Water hardness can affect soaps. I had a whole house water softener installed and it make a big difference in suds and cleaning. My water was 7 grains hard.

i found Gold Class works just great. Pinnacle, hmm i bought two bottles on sale, I have not been impressed. Tried PB Super suds or whatever they call it. No big deal either.. Still looking for something that i like more than Gold Class.

Poorboy's Super Slick & Suds for not too dirty cars
Meg's NXT for when doing dirty cars that are going to get a full detail

which kind did u buy? Pinnacle Shampoo or did you buy something else?

I use gold class for a presoak and SCG pacific blue wash and wax afterwards. I've never been happier.:buffing:

I like DP extreme foam. I used to use P21s, but it could not remove the bugs as easily as DP.
