First off, sorry I haven’t posted on here lately – we have been BUSY!

My partner and I have basically decided to get an individual to run the daily operations of B & B Detailing. Tyson is starting to turn heads in the music industry and I have had some wonderful transitions as well. With all of this said, we are looking for someone to take over operations of B & B Detailing in Middle Tn. We have grown beyond capabilities in the past 2.5 years, and hope that the right individual can continue this growth and success. I felt that I should post this here and give Agians or lurkers of AG the opportunity before looking further. If you love detailing this is the route to go!

We are looking for an individual that is :

Hardworking
Personable
Takes Pride in his/her work
Willing to relocate to Mid Tn
Can keep current clients happy
Can obtain and maintain future clients
Wants to help build a great company

If you are interested, please send your resume to [email protected]

This position will not be available for approximately 3 to 4 months. We will EXTENSIVELY review each potential applicant. We spent 2 and a half years building this company to where it is today, we will take the time to pick the right individual.

Thank you all and good luck on your next detail!

To give you an idea of a typical week at B & B Detailing :

Tomorrow : Exterior 2 step polish/ full interior on small corporate bus

Thursday : Service regular clients (3 cars weekly), then exterior one step polish/ full interior

Friday : Left open for catchup day

Sat : Wetsand, 3 step polish of truck

Sunday : Reg client - Hummer, audi, F650, honda accord (did his escalade and tour bus last weekend)

Monday : paint correction on Corvette + basic details on 2 corvettes for same client

Tues , Weds : 3 step on 26 ft Searay Sundancer (boat)

This does not include our regular clients (rental car company, adn 2 other bus companies) which throw us random on the spot details.

As far as pay is concerned - IT IS ALL UP TO YOU.... we will provide daily costs sheets. One can make as little as 250 a week and as much as 3000 a week. All depends on work ethic and ability to produce and/or maintain clients.

I'd love to, but my experience is just not there...

Very very tempting with my current job position...........:hungry:

So are you getting out of detailing? And want like a Vice CEO to overlook all the work And you just get a percentage?

Just thinking right now, my current job has kind of pushed me outta the detailing-thing for some months now....

Yes and no lol - I have put my heart and soul into this company the past 2.5 years. I am missing my kids grow up! Sit back and take a percentage, no - Do the Bookkeeping, IT, Trainer on hand, etc..... I can make this a multi million dollar company - but to lose my family in the process due to 20 hour days, and pumping money into the company instead of my personal funds..... yes I can step back and let a young enthusiastic individual take this company where it can be. I feel that this company can produce a million + in Middle TN alone, and someone that has the drive and passion for detailing can easily make hundreds of thousands a year doing so with the help of myself and Tyson. Just have to think past auto!

:bump:

Just wanted everyone to see this - a great opportunity for sure.

Are you looking to 1. Hire someone? 2. Take a partner? 3. Sell the business? Or something else? You say "take over day to day operations" I'm not sure exactly what that means.

wow this is a great a opportunity for someone with good skills! And i would've applied if this were in cali. Best of luck finding the right people! :dblthumb2:

Anthony, what kind of work hours are you talking? You just mentioned 20 hour days which I know includes the detailing plus the back end stuff that you plan to take over. How many workers will the oncoming day to day Ops manager/worker be allotted? Are you guys offering relocation assistance or is this all on the new person?

Thanx man - and yes, it is a great opportunity!

1. Hire someone yes
2. A Partner - no
3. Something else - yes

Having another partner is no good for anybody, including an additional individual - to many pieces of the pie going out. We are looking for the right individual to come and basically do what myself and Tyson have done for the past couple of years - Push It! We plan on taking very little to no percentage of profits..... most of which will go to the individual that is successfully performing B & B's daily tasks.

Most days are anywhere from 6 to 12 hours. Relocation - I talked to Tyson today about reimbursing 50% of relocation fees to the individual after 6 months of proven performance and or dedication. Maybe 100% if relocation fees are within reason.

Selling B & B has also been an option in our minds (slim option) - but that will go somewhere in the $100,000 range.... if we get into aviation contracts sooner than selling it will be in the $250,000 range. Selling is an option to us, but keeping our hardwork alive is huge! Also, allowing people to come and prosper for themselves/family will be great in our eyes as well! Either way, we do not want our hardwork to go to waste - we'd rather see B & B prosper and spread significantly.

So your looking for a manager. Your offering a pretty sweet deal for someone. Especially getting in on pretty much the ground floor if you get as big as you want to...

Yes and no - a bit higher than a manager..... instead of a given salary, we will give you a percentage of profits. More so than most companies if one can become a solid member of B & B and treat it as their own. We can easily hire a manager - but will growth really become that of what we expect - no..... we want an individual that can produce results as significantly as we desire. Example :

We can pursue every Marina in town, BUT we are overwhelmed with the 2 Marinas we service now..... We CAN service 50 times the B2B clients we have now.... we CAN service 20 times the personal clients we have now - - - - - basically we need the right individual to do so. We have the talent, knowledge, and ground work to move ahead - only we are exhausted from the past couple of years and can no longer take on the FULL workload of this company. If someone feels that they can join our team and produce great results and further B & B' s future then great - send your resume. I assure you that we have sacrificed MUCH to get to this point - we just need someone to sustain and help grow B & B.

Anthony, as you should know by now, playing the devil's advocate is my forte.
I can definitely see the advantage of growth, and becoming one of the biggest players in the industry. But with growth comes change...and not all change is positive.

Good luck to you and Tyson in your search for the right candidate(s) that will allow B&B to meet your expectations. :dblthumb2:

Most managers do get a percentage of the profits. I was a manager for 20 years and did extremely well. Unfortunately I can't work anymore. I understand your talking about the individual getting a high percentage of profits. The biggest advantage for this individual in my opinion would be getting in early so down the road if you end up with 15 or 20 shops he would probably be overseeing stores, handling customer issues, making sure the quality stayed up and getting a percentage from all stores...
