When I bought my car it had Xpel Ultimate installed on the entire front half of the car (hood, fenders, 6" of roof). I've read about caring for it and I know what I need to do, but I have a few questions that I hope you guys can answer.

1. Do I need to purchase the Xpel brand sealant or can I just use my Jet Seal on it instead? Here is a link to the Xpel brand: XPEL Paint Protection Film Sealant (16 oz.) | XPEL

2. How do I know if the wax I'm using (Butter Wet Wax) has dyes in it that will cause damage to the film?

3. Can I clay the film?

No Waxes.
These are the products that I use:

I don't.

Megs Plastx for light cleaning but mostly soap & water or APC for stubborn dirt. Plexus and BFCS as my protection layer. No wax

My Xpel installer said I can wax the car just like paint and I have. I've used Nanoskin clay sponge, a bunch of waxes, sealants, and spray waxes over my Xpel front-wrapped car without problems for 2 years now.

I need further research to see if I should use a polish (like Meguiars Ultimate Polish) and Optimum Gloss Coat over Xpel.

Fun Bob - Are you saying you don't use waxes on xpel and/or you don't recommend it?

That's correct...I don't use Waxes.

And since I don't:
I would never recommend for
anyone else to ever do so.
