Carpet Cleaner?

It can be used either way. If you have an extractor, you can use it with that. If not, it's extremely good at spot removal. Vacuum very well, spray on area, agitate, dab with a terry towel or mf and PRESTO! You will love this stuff. Another alternative that I actually bought for myself today (also at HD) is the ZEP line. They make a traffic lane carpet cleaner that is supposed to rock at removing stains. It was recommended to me by a guy who's opinion I highly value. He has turned me onto a few Zep products which are highly effective and very, very reasonably priced. I have the glass cleaner that you can cut 32:1 (that's NOT a misprint) and the citrus degreaser APC which I adore.
You cannot beat Zep's Carpet Spot Cleaner for tough stains.

Just got back from Home Depot. 1 gallon Folex is $16.00, also picked up the Zep high traffic $3.50 for 32ozs. I was looking at Wolfgang but was having a real problem with the price. Can anyone give me justification to spend that much for a gallon of carpet cleaner?.

Dave...if a product works well then that's all that matters as far as I'm concerned. I don't buy into the snob appeal of expensive products that are no better than and in fact inferior to others that are less money. There are some good product lines out there that perform very well and are not much money. Unless you have a client that wants a certain wax for the snob appeal, my clients get what I supply and they are delighted with the looks and durability of what I use. (As I climb down from my soap box)

The next tough interior I get I'm gonna do a side by side with the Folex and the Zep to see how they compare. I have yet to use the Zep.
