There are companies that sell stain-specific removers....Usually a little more expensive...But by far the best route to take, IMHO.

Thanks Rasky...Good choice in this Company!! :props:

That is what I was referring to in my post...(RE: Companies)

There's another company on the West Coast that has a good kit also.

The best thing that i have run across is Ardex- New Wave. it works very well when its diluted 4-1 but some tougher jobs call for 3-1. It has a very good scent. The stuff i used about 5 years back is called VZ-5 from Autocare.. that was some really really good stuff! And I have used almost everything.

I'm going to man up and get a mytee lite II this summer. It's time....

I use APC+ in my Tornador, does a fantastic job. Might have to try the Tornador cleaner.

I found that kit on the Pro's Choice site. I saw some Minneapolis dealers on there- did you buy it locally?

Need more weapons in the arsenal!

I ordered it online from Jon-Don. :)

Hi Ben...

I agree that carpet stain removal is troublesome. Often as troublesome as fabric upholstery stain removal.

It starts, IMO, with identifying the type of stain that's present. There are inorganic, organic...and I put ink stains in a seperate niche. I also put stains into one of seven categories:

1.) Grease/tar/adhesives...(inorganic)
2.) Pet stain/odor/neutralizer (uric acid)
3.) Rust stains.
4.) Coffee/tea...(tannins)
5.) Blood/Ketchup/Mustard.....(protein/organic)
6.) Red dye/Red juices.
7.) Inks.

There are companies that sell stain-specific removers....Usually a little more expensive...But by far the best route to take, IMHO.

If cleaners such as Folex, APC's, P21S TAW, etc. won't budge the stains, it's good to have the stain-specific removers handy.

-Steamers/extractors are very good tools to also have in your arsenal someday.
-Sometimes janitorial/carpet-cleaning brick&mortars hold classes in regards to this matter.

Hope this helps some.

:)

Well I have maybe one of the best steamers you cam buy and that just doesn't take all stains out. I also have a mytee HP and that doesnt rake stains out like many would think. Product has a lot to do with it and sometimes you need to soak it thoroughly and then agitate and them extract.....sometimes you just can't get it out.
