Well ive received my new Boss G21 polisher
Ceriglass and Griot 6in glass pad
Test was on a 2012 Kia rio 5 front windshield.

It has a series of horizontal scratches all over windshield due to ice scraper..

Ive done about 5 to 6 passes and didn't seem to inprove upon anything. .
wasnt really expecting it to..but was hoping

Have a pic but on phone and cant upload it atm..file too big..
ill give it a 2nd attempy on the ceriglass later on and update if any change

Polishing glass is not like polishing paint. 5-6 passes isn't nearly enough to make a difference. If you can catch glass scratches on your finger nail - you likely can improve them, but not remove them via polishing.

As for using a large throw polisher to remove glass defects - to the best of my knowledge it's uncharted territory. Although I have a Rupes, I stuck to the GG6 for glass due the large amount own downward pressure involved & I would think it would be difficult to avoid the edges with a large throw polisher.

You're gonna need a lot more than 5-6 passes on glass!

Swanicyouth has an awesome write up on ceriglass and the rayon pads. See if you can dig that thread up. Tons of good info in there.

Dont believe my nail catches on any of them
Kind of like marring
did about 12 passes on ps then like 6 on ds

Im new to machine polishing

Next attempt ill split window into 4 sections this time with i guess 20 passes?
Speed was 6..doesn't sound all that fast/loud like in videos

Ill look for that thread for insight

I found and read that thread
he had great results!

I didnt know you needed water to mist.
I just used water for clea up..

I see he polished each section for sabouabout 15 minutes
he used a tad more product then me too

I shall be good for next round.
Most likely wont be till saturdsy though
tje car pro pad must be a tad more aggressive then the griot glass pad

Sounds like it might be too late but be careful too. Try doing the passenger side first or better yet maybe a side window. That way if you don't get the results you're hoping for and the window gets jacked up at least you can still see where you're going.

If the car isn't a mess when your done - you didn't do it right (use enough water). I just helped a local guy fix his glass that his body shop scratched up quite bad. We were able to get complete correction except for 2 minimum gouges, that looked like tool marks in the glass.

I recommend only using CarPro pads for glass. Whatever you do - do not use LC glass pads on your glass.

Ill use your procedure as you mentioned in your review thread.
btw, what speed did you use, dont think that was mentioned
i ramped up to max when i knew the product wouldnt sling

BROWNIE mentioned to set it to 2 or 3 in another thread

I would of used the car pro pad but they didnt make one in 6 or 6.5
griot had one in 6, so went with that
