I have two different strengths mixed. My stronger mixture is 12oz in a 32oz bottle and my “regular” is 6oz in 32oz bottle. If my stronger mixture doesn’t clean the glass enough, I know it’s going to have to be polished.
So that's 6 or 12 oz of IPA mixed with 114/h20 at 1:128? Just checking.
This cleans better than just using a stiffer mixture of 114? (Though I get the notion of not wanting to burn through your finite reserves of D-114).
I've been using N-114 at around 1:32 for cleaning glass after doing window regulators and such at work. Seems to do a good job of clearing off those "ghost" smears I mentioned earlier where you only see them when the glass is some level of damp. Definitely have had windshields where I'd use that + a magic eraser to feel like I wasn't sending it out bound to be smear-y.
Been thinking about doping my old bottle of Griot's Window Cleaner that was fine enough but not amazing; I'll try it in a smaller bottle and see how it goes.
This is the problem with glass cleaners - you end up with more options on your shelf then glass to use them on.
Question for you Zap towel users...are they washable or one time use

2Pac of Zap towels ordered, along with a pair of Uro-fiber pads (the twins) and CG's Black Ice interior scent. This thread has turned into a revenue generator, albeit on a very small sm-all scale (who gets the sm-all reference)

Another Zap towel question...has anyone used glass cleaner with it

I have had similar experiences. I am a HUGE Carpro fan but this has been the first, and hopefully only, product of theirs I've used that didn't live up to the standards that Carpro has set for themselves and that I now hold them too. I reordered it after a few months seeing if the formula changed or if it was just a bad batch(has happened with Reload in the past) that caused the streaks, it wasn't. Like your experience daylight revealed a clear window with no streaks. But at night, especially under street lights or looking into oncoming headlights...terrible. Absolutely terrible. I even felt embarrassed because I used this on my wife's windshield and a few days later I borrowed her car. Same thing, at night I could hardly stand to look through all the streaking. I had to apologize to her hahaha.
I use the Carpro glass cleaning towel followed with a clean dry waffle weave. This combo works great with Stoner's, so not sure why I'm getting streaks with the clarify. I plan to keep using it to see if I can get better results.
It's probably not talked about too much because it isn't inexpensive. Also glass cleaner is not as sexy to talk about as toppers.
