CarPro EcH2o Concentrated Waterless Wash - WOW! WOW! WOW!

I really don't like the smell (though i know this is very subjective). I feel like my work space smelled like a body shop detail bay afterward, and not in a good way. I also don't like how thick is it, I feel like after you pour the concentrate into your water, you need to pour them back a forth a couple times to get all the product out of your measuring cup. That said, these are pretty minor concerns and I love everything else about it. I also found that at 1:25, it was able to remove the carrier haze/streaks from reload.

I've used it as a rinseless wash and was very impressed, left a nice gloss.

I'm not a big fan of Opti Clean personally. Streaks and smells.

I'm also quite picky about smells. Worried I won't like Ech2O's smell either.

Good info. This sounds like it might make a awesome drying aid.

I don't know what that is?

CarPro Ech2O FAQ:

Can I use Ech2o in the sun as a waterless or detail spray?

Absolutely, it works very well even in direct sun.

Can I use Ech2o as a rinse-less wash?

Yes! Our Rinse-less wash testers found Ech2o to perform better than the products they have used until now.

Is Ech2o a cleaner?

Yes, it is a waterless wash that’s tough on dirt but gentle on the vehicle. It gently lifts dirt and contaminants from the surface.

Does Ech2o have protection in it?

Ech2o does have some Sio2 (quartz) protection in it BUT its main focus is on safely cleaning and glossing a variety of surfaces.

Pro Tip: Mix a couple ounces of CarPro Reload with your next RTU bottle of Ech2O for added protection!

Can I use Ech2o as a wipe down before coating?

No, the organic lubricants in Ech2o are GREAT for aiding in safe quick detailing but lubricants can hinder the bonding of CQuartz to the surface. For that purpose, stick with Eraser for a wipe-down solution. That is what Eraser was designed for.

Can I use Ech2o for wiping down a car that I just coated?

That depends on your definition of “Just”. Ech2o has very effective cleaners in it so we do NOT want to introduce a cleaning solution to a ceramic coating that is STILL undergoing a very complex curing process. IF you mean just before or after delivery / wiping off dust then yes. In that case dilute Ech2O 1:25 and gently remove any dust.

How do I use it?

As a high QD dilution – Spray and wipe.

For waterless - take a look at this video:

Why do you have a range of dilutions mentioned?

There are a lot of variables in detailing. Level of dust and dirt, temperature, humidity, preference, technique, and existing surface protection are just a few of the variables. In general we would recommend you start with 1:15 for waterless wash and 1:25 for Quick Detailer.

Can I use Ech2O on Chrome?

Oh Yes! It leaves the chrome incredibly clean, slick, and glossy!

Can I use Ech2O on Glass?

Yes, it works excellent!

Can I use Ech2O on interiors?

You can use Ech2O on some interior surfaces but we would recommend using CarPro Inside for most interior surfaces!

Same here. I thought I was the only one getting sick of the scent.

I've used Ech2O twice now and would say that the scent is very pleasing. No complaints here!

Does this product has an expire date? I have some carpro products and almost all of them expire whitin a year or two.

As a detail spray, it gives a nicer shine in a lot of ways compared to a lot of other ones. I do find the dilution ratios are a bit too strong, realistically 1:20 is the best one that works for me. Anything like 1 to 5 is way too thick of a solution and while it has excellent lubrication, it just feels goopy. For those of us unlucky enough to not have sunshine all winter, 1:5 will take way too long to dry and buff off. Not sure if it's the SiO2 particles or the lubricant agent itself but in winter time, 1:25 is the best combination. I'm using this on a Cquartz UK coated car so I'm not sure if it'll work differently on another coating or on bare paint. In the fall when I still had warm weather, it was great to mix it up at 1 to 10 or so because it dried off to a haze it seems and I can just buff it off with a single towel afterwards, like removing extra smooth wax almost.

Thanks for this. I try 1:10 first when I get it.

I really don't like the smell (though i know this is very subjective).

It doesn't smell as bad as Reload, does it? IMO Reload is the worst smelling detailing product ever conceived. I've never smelled IronX, but I bet Reload's worse. It smells exactly like the Raid roach killer sold in Mexico.

This makes me curious about trying a mix between Reload + Wolfgang Uber to use on customers vehicles...

Was thinking the same thing. Seems like using Reload (or any spray sealant) in a WW or QD for that matter could be effective.

Opti seal is really easy to use as a protection drying aid, mix it with onr and you have some extra protection while you dry, I use it on the cars that I maintain after they've been sealed or coated
