CarPro Essence with non-CarPro coating

I did 2x layers of Wolfgang Uber Coating over CarPro Essence a little over a week ago on my daily driven 2009 Jeep SRT8. I had zero issues with both products used in conjunction.

I'm going to wash it today for the first time since coating and take pictures for my write up.

Note: incredibly it hasn't rained for over a week here in Montreal (normally rains at least twice a week).

What was your wait time before using Uber?

1 hour as indicated by CarPro Essense. It was a hot low-humidity day and I had to work around the sun, meaning that I polished the panels in the shade and as the sun moved I moved to the newly shaded panels. I'd say it took me 2+ hours to polish out my whole car with Essence +1 hour cure time. Obviously, some panels cured for almost 3 hours compared to 1 hour for the most recently finished panel. I applied the coating in the same order I polished. I waited 2 more hours and applied a 2nd layer of WG Uber Coating.

I wonder if the one year durability of the fillers in Essence applies to when the product is used as a stand-alone, when topped with CQuartz or both

I believe the durability of the fillers is likely when it is used solo

I think you are right. That is how I have always considered the durability of essence. 1 year on it's own. I top it with Reload so I tell my customers they can expect at least a year of durability, maybe more. Reload on it's own is 6 months, and will be removed first so in my book that is a 12-18 months protection package.
