I will DEFINITELY be the first to get some! Might have to be my next "Product Review" :dblthumb2:

2 years??? and no wiper chatter, that would be AWESOME!!!!!

That's bad news for me. I have half of a 50ml bottle of the original left lol.

Saw it this morning, would like to try it out

Sent from my SPH-D710 using AG Online

The stuff spreads so far though!

LOL!! You are correct that a little product goes a long way, so let me share how I have used it before YMMV. In an attempt to get rid of my last FlyBy30 (before the perceived expiration) I used it on the exterior windows of my house. Obviously not all windows were coated but..... At $20 for 50ml (which I had less than 20 ml left) I essentially "wasted" $10 on non-production work. It always bug me to not have a return on my "investment" but did not want to chance the product going bad and losing it without any benefits :dblthumb2:

Looks nice, what's sad is I've been considering trying the old version. Seeing this I think I might get it. The sad part is I live in So Cal where it almost never rains. I hate having the detailing bug lol.

Dr. Pain, you could also coat the shower door if it is glass.

I had some GT Fabric Guard and I was going to use it on my rain jacket to see if it would work.

HUMP

I am applying G1 to my Element's windshield literally at this moment; I'm waiting for the coating to dry before removing the residue. Then I am going to top it with G5. I wonder how the new CarPro product compares?

Now you just gave me a great idea!!!! :xyxthumbs:

so someone has to ask in this thread... what's the difference between this and the original?

Here is what I know. Part of the information was gathered from the CarPro-US Website, part from the CarPro Forum, and part was privileged information, because I was used as a Beta tester to see how the product would fair in Southern Louisiana (Heat and Humidity). Now that the cat is out of the bag, I was just given the Ok this afternoon to spill the beans!! One of the biggest issue with being a Beta tester.... all that secrecy, especially when you are excited about the product. I do want to take the opportunity to thank Avi and Corey for trusting me with the secrets :xyxthumbs:

FlyBy30:(taken from CarPro)

Specifications:
•High water droplet contact angle (112 deg.)
•Low water droplet sliding angle (15 deg.)
•Water repellency on windshields will last minimum of 6~8 month (1 season). Beyond that rain drops will continue to repel, but at higher driving speeds.
Value: Estimated consumption per complete car windscreen and side windows is 10ml
• FlyBy30 repels water drops starting at 30 to 40 mph, and allows you to have clear vision with safe driving.
** Speed varies based on windshield angle, (average tested on 45 deg. angle)

FlyBy Forte is NOT a reformulation of FlyBy30 but a whole new design.

The following was shared in confidence:(but I now have the permission to share with my fellow detailers)

"FlyBy Forte is a brand new technologically advanced windshield coating. Development of Flyby Forte was heavily based on the latest and most advanced mobile phone anti-scratch protection. Our inorganic Nano-tech coating was specifically designed for EXTREME semi-permanent durability and long-term resistance to abrasion and chemicals.

Flyby Forte was tested to over 40,000 real time wiper cleaning cycles, is UV stable, highly chemical resistant, and provides resistance to scratches and minor chips.
Flyby Forte is the ULTIMATE in windshield and glass coatings!

Unlike traditional glass coatings, which attach to the surface, Forte fully bonds by penetrating the top surface of glass, merging and transforming it into a hydrophobic smooth surface.

Flyby Forte does not allow chattering, wiper noise, or degradation of the glass. Rain droplets slide off fast at speeds beyond 50kmh for a minimum of 6 months. Expected durability is up to 2 years.

FlyBy Forte:

Specifications:

• Initial contact Angle (DIN EN 828) : 115 Degrees
• Water drop sliding angle: <20 deg.
• Extreme abrasion resistance
• No wiper chatter
• Repels water, dirt, dust, salt, ice, and snow
• Easy to apply
• Long lasting durable protection
• Harsh chemicals resistant (from 4~12 pH)
• Improves night vision
• Suitable for any glass type: Auto, Marine, Aviation, and more"

As for the application, it could not be easier. You apply exactly as described in the video shared previously, 3 layers on the windshield and 1 layer on the rest of the glass. It is RIDICULOUSLY easy!!

One of the things that bugged me about FlyBy30 was the fact that we had to heat it to create the best results. FlyBy Forte does not require heating WOOHOO!!!!!

My test involved coating half of my windshield and will have a review soon (if you guys are interested ;) ). The most impressive part about the product so far is its application. It is truly a wipe on/wipe off. Prep is key, but no more involved than any other glass coatings (and I've installed quite a few different coating brands from DP to PBL to GTechnic to FlyBy30 and now FlyBy Forte).

If this product produces on its claims it will be a GAME CHANGER!!!! I've had my windshield coated for a while now and so far I am impressed!!. The beading and sheeting video shared earlier was not my vehicle, and I can tell you that to see it in person is more impressive than on video.

So to summarize the difference:
- Similar contact angle and slide angle properties as FlyBy30
- MUCH MUCH easier application
- No need to wait for the product to flash (wipe on/wipe off)
- Scratch resistant
- 2 year expected product life (compared to 6-8 months)
- No more wiper chatter!!
- UV stable & Chemical Resistant

One additional positive about the product comes hand in hand with Nick's post.....it will be available to the public, NOT a PRO ONLY product. It was discussed to be a PRO ONLY product but Avi decided that it should be a consumer/end-user product :dblthumb2:

What will they come up with next?????:buffing:
