I did the first wash of Hydrofoam on my wife's Mazda 6 this morning. It was treated with McKee's Hydro Blue Sio2 spray last weekend but was covered with a weeks salt dusting. The temp down in the garage was about 35, so I decided to get after it.
I did a 1:9 ratio in my soap dispenser and 1 oz of CarPro into my wash bucket and made 3.5 gallons of wash. I "foamed" the car down real good, everything, and it broke down the salt and muck nicely. I then did the 2BM wash and very early into the wash I noticed the suds evaporated but kept at it. While washing the hood you could see "something" in the wash and I believe it's the Sio2 properties, couldn't wait to finish and lack of suds didn't bother me one bit. Speaking of that, isn't 1 oz for 3.5 gallons enough anyways?
Once done I foamed the car again and THEN rinsed the car down. Upon rinsing I noticed the beading right away but like I said, I appllied McKee's Hydro Blue Sio2 spray just last week but I'm going with it being the Hydrofoam doing it's thing.
The results were Great! The drying was done with 2 towels, average sized ones...a thick plush one for the sopping and a Griot's PFM to finish things off! The gloss left behind was VERY impressive as well.
I plan on using this product once a month on my own car because it's a general concensious that over using this isn't a good thing due to build up...true or false in your uses?
Btw no streaking using it my way but I used my wife's car as a guinea pig and it's not coated either. Thoughts?
