Has anyone tried this new protectant? I bought the 500ml, diluting it to the 1:5 ratio, then try it on my interior trim.
 
Sounds like a good product, but you dont hear much about it.
 
I'm courius about it... I want to try it out since I need to order something for the interior and trim anyway
 
It's one of my favorite products. Very versatile, and easy to use. I always shake diluted product just in case. But it's good stuff, looks good on interiors, wheels, wheel wells, rubber trim. I haven't toyed with it as much as I would like, but for the mean time, it is a great product.:dblthumb2:
 
ive used Perl on my tires and exterior plastic trim and roof rack and it comes out pretty nice.. water beads right off everything and it leaves it with a nice finish.... i still haven't tried to use the perl in the interior....... but on exterior im a fan of using it =D
 
I've tried this product, and I can't say I'm a huge fan. For the price it isn't bad, but the durability just isn't there. I put some on the fenderflares of a Mini, and after one rain two days later it was all but gone. That was at a 3:1 dillution. So I tried again at 1:1 on another car I had and same thing, after one rain it was all streaky and mostly gone.

As for interiors, it seems to hold up pretty well, and have a good look to it. I just won't be using it for anything on the exterior.
 
Cool, this is for interior only. I tried it today, and I like it. Gives it that new finish look.

UTTG is a much better product. The only thing better about PERL is you can use it on the interior. UTTG beats it in every department in my opinion.

On exterior trim I agree with others it can't beat UTTG in durability. UTTG is an excellent trim product which I love.

Perl does darken faded trim more than UTTG though but doesn't last as long. On textured plastic perl does seem to be holding up extremely well. I applied it to a faded cowl and it's holding up well. I didn't expect that since it's water based. I'm going to add another test with a tape line so I can better judge it's durability on textured trim though. For tires perl looks gorgeous! Mix 1:1 and spray and wipe very thin, let dry and apply another coat the same way. Tires look great until they get a few rains but still look good for a couple weeks.

Davey, those fender flares were they smooth or textured plastic?
 
I've found it to be the best looking product for exterior rubber although it doesn't last very long. Big deal! just reapply. UTTG is the best for hard plastics.
 
Corey's review is top notch. I fully plan on utilizing it when mine arrives
