CarPro Reload - Yay or Nay

It had seemed not everyone experienced issues with that specific formula I recall. Which made such even seem stranger IMO.

If, when using Reload, you want to curl up into the fetal position and cry until you die, then you are using the "bad batch" version of Reload.

If, when using Reload, the product glides on effortlessly and then wipes away quickly with zero oily halos, adding significant gloss in the process, then you are using the new "original formula" version of Reload.

Yeah these quick little storms messed things up this weekend. I washed my grand prix Saturday and it was all messed up on Sunday. At least it was not dirty other than the rain water.

I actually washed my mom's car and it started to drizzle in the middle of me washing it. It had some pretty caked on stuff from her parking under trees so at least it was clean for about an hour before it rained again lol.

How did reload handle the water?

Here's a before shot after using the clay towel. Swirl City. My goal was simply to have a smooth surface to lay down somekind of protection on this paint. No paint correction taking place. I didn't even think of bringing my polisher along, my plan was clay then seal.

@Avi Carpro. How long is this application expected to last? Bottle says durable up to 6 months. Can I count on that?
My bottle was produced on 10/25/15 exp. 10/24/17. Thx.

Normally i would say it will last 3 months , it depend how you wash the car and what detergents you use.
at October 2015 it was from the revised version which you got good easy results.
rlmccarty2000 , Autopia source from Autogeek , we have replaced all the stock for AG back then, so if you contacted them they should have replace you. if not please contact me by PM and ill make sure someone will send you replacement

I dunno yet since I was too lazy to get back to it today. Lol.

I did however see the car real quik as the owner and I crossed paths driving down the road that same day it was raining... As soon as I spotted the car my immediate thought was "man that's a clean Benz".. Then a couple seconds later I realized it's the Benz that I clean! That's a real good feeling when that happens. Lol.

Now my black "stinkin linkin" pictured here was about 2-3 weeks old, a major 2 day detail I recall when I took these pics. Half hour later, it probably didn't look like this.

And in Chicago, and in summer, I couldn't even get in the car after it say outside any length of time. I'd have to reach in, start it with the A/C full blast, close thw door, wait outside, then wait a good 10-12 minutes before I could even get in.

Down here in NM? Certain brain damage and heat stroke! LOL

Wow that's funny, I mentioned a black Fleetwood Brougham, and you happen to have a black Lincoln Towncar, which is a very similar vehicle. What are the odds:)
 
Reload seems to have the most 50/50 on the fence reviews.

It beads and sheets water almost as good as a coating, it is nothing short of phenomenal.

I filled a 4oz bottle with 2oz reload 2oz distilled water put a few sprays each panel on my personal car. And when it rains and i drive my car is completely dry.

I love it.

I know some have had difficulty with their coatings, but this is most commonly caused by user error, not the product, by not adhering to the recommended application procedures, or applying outside of recommended weather conditions.

There's no doubt, that as a brand, Carpro makes some truly outstanding products that do exactly as they are intended and touted to do.

I will say so that those who might have interest of Reload at current day as a product, that this last version I bought has been trouble free, even when used over other products that weren't their own brand coatings.

Of course throwing Reload over products like Collinite, Duragloss, Wolfgang Sealants, or others, etc, one might likely not reap all the full benefits of this product.

Reload's main objective as a product was to be a protectant topper to place over their CQuartz Coatings, while those Coatings would further fully cure.
 
You don't get a second chance to make a first impression. Such is life.
 
@Carpro. You might want to consider updating the description of Reload here on AG. It currently shows the 2014 version as being inferior to the "new and improved" version. A clean slate description wouldn't hurt. Just sayin.

I went to wipe it down this morning and the car was very clean. So clean that I honestly felt no real need to touch it.

Yes Eldo, if that's "before" wiping, sure does look nice and clean.

Living here in the desert, and even if I had a garage, which would surely help some, but would definitely not significantly reduce the never ending battle with dusts here.

We're not really high with air pollution or fallout from such, nor that bad with saps, but one other issue here, is living just east of the largest Gypsum Field on the planet, White Sands Monument, and Missle Range.

I've seen what the effects of what the Gypsum here does to some people's vehicles, that when this Gypsum Dust gets in between side glass, and the Lower Window Weatherstrip Moldings, the Glass literally looks like somebody took 100 Grit sandpaper in a verticle motion to the side Windows from lowering-raising them over time.

I'm only a mile from the foothills of the Sacramento Mountains which top out at about 9,000', and there's been windstorms, typically during our monsoon season where you cannot even see those mountains, visibility is that low.
 
Mark, hope that Gypsum dust is not affecting your health.
