I picked up a bottle of this to get ready for spring. :What's the best way to take advantage of this product? Foam cannon or a wash mitt? And can it replace Iron X all together? I have foam gun but I don't think it will spread the soap evenly enough to fully use the soap.

I like foam gun/cannon, agitate with mitt, dwell, rinse. I don't think it fully replaces IX. It's much weaker.

I am curious as well to know if it can replace ironx neat.

I have confirmed color change on my silver truck (i didnt take pics and still kick myself for it) with a 8:1 dilution in a spray bottle used as a prefoam soak. Then used 2oz in foam cannon to wash.

I absolutely love IXSS i wish they still had the 4l jug in know carpro has it but i like being able to order mutiple things and get them in one purchase. I will use it as a prewax wash or a tri-monthly maintenance soap. It also makes a great wheel wash.

It may or may not replace your need for IX, unfortunately the only way to tell is use the IXSS and follow with IX to see if their is a reaction. I would say after an initial dose of IX the IXSS should be able to keep things iron free.

This all MY PERSONNEL OPINION and I have no scientific proof to verify and you may find the opposite in your case.

Do you dilute it before when you use the foam gun? Or just use it straight in the gun/cannon? I currently only have a gun but I'm thinking about getting a cannon as well.

I like to use it in a foam cannon as a foaming pre soak at 4:1.

It will not replace IX altogether as it is weaker especially since you are spraying it diluted through a foam gun/cannon.

Thanks. I think I'm going to try the spray bottle method first and move up from there. I had another good week of overtime so maybe I'll get a cannon soon.

Finally got around to using Snow Soap. I had washed my truck the day before so it was still clean. I wanted to a Mike Phillips aggressive wash to fully clean up from the winter. Truck got Iron X, which showed no reaction except a small spot on the hitch. After PW off, I put about 3oz of Snow Soap in my foam gun neat. I was surprised at how much foam it made, straight out of my gun. Even McKee xtreme foam didn't make as much. Since I already knew the paint was iron free, I wasn't expecting to find a reaction. I used the snow soap to serve as my lube for my nanoskin. After claying and washing, I PW again. This time I noticed that my LSP was gone, and the paint was not beading at all.
I wouldn't use snow soap on a regular basis, only for my spring clean up or before a full detail. I prefer to do Rinseless Washes, simply for its a lot less of a production with hoses and drying and such. I did think my truck was extremely clean when I was done. I still have to do a full clean up on the wife's car. I'll skip the Iron X on it and see if there will be any difference in how clean I can get.
Pros:
Cleans great
Very foamy
May react to iron
Good clay lube

Cons:
Too aggressive for regular use
Need to wear gloves
Can degrade LSP
Smells just as strong as regular Iron X

Do you not think the clay mitt removed or degraded your sealant?

Does anybody know if the snow foam take the wax off your car it should if you're going to use it before polishing it has strong degreasers is in it any APC would take your wax off

CarPro does state that it can impact oil base waxes by up to 50%. So I guess if your wax is close to EOL it would strip it.

I have a bottle and have used it diluted 1:8 in the foam cannon but I do not think its economical for everyday use as a prewash or a substitute for an Iron X step. I still followed up with Iron X and found bleeding. May be better used for a light maintenance on a coated car.

CarPro recommends using it undiluted for full strength which would then make it roughly the same price as Iron X but not as strong or economical. Even using it 1:1 in a foam canon to get more strength would make it not cost effective. 32oz is $27.99 so even at 1:1 in a 32oz foam gun you are looking at around $14.00 for a single vehicle if my math is correct? lol yikes.

I find the smell to be worse than Iron X.
