Carrand Brush

I usually take it on faith that something peddled here as described is reliable information, however, the reason for posting this query is because I was looking for anecdotal experiences with what Carrand calls their "Final Touch" line of brushes and pads which are considerably softer than previous iterations which did not have this brand moniker. In other words, I have a little doubt so I wanted to solicit experiences.

Well I gave you mine for what its worth.

The depate on brushes used on paint I think often is not the brush it self. But where the dirt gets trapped in it. As for mf media the dirt get trapped in the fibers and on a brush you might scuff the dirt around. I have brushes with those split bristles and they are even pass the cd test. Maybe those split bristles trapps dirt better than other brushes. The important thing if used on the paint or wheels is the need of a thorough rinse before and use of a well lubricated car soap IMO. Then rinse the brush often and have a rinse bucket with grit guard in it to make the dirt release as with a mf mitt. Then you have the pressure you are applying would be very light and also the numbers of aggitations. This is how I treat the wheel brushes to the front side.

This is the safest way I can think of to use brushes on the paint. Cause some micro marring you will always get when washing cars. It's just about how much of them you get over time. If useing a dirty brush from beginning and not rinse it under the washing against a clean brush and rinse it couple of times per panel and use a great lubrication is the difference I think. I even can see the benefit with those brushes you attach to the hose. If the bristles are great on that one and use the same way as the brushes.

If you wash as you can accually see sometimes with a dirty brush and a bucket of dish soap and no prerinse. Then I think we all know what is going to happen. Then they scratch their heads and wonder why the paint looks dull when dryed. Must be that it's the need of a new wax layer they think. This is the outside of autogeek comunity and a story that is true sad to be said.

So a gentle approach and you are not induse that much of marring I think. The safest way to wash? No it's not. Many of us use brushes on the paint and that is around emblems and plastic trim. A good amount of lubrication with car soap and great quality brush and a gentle touch. And you don't see many that are screaming out and have more marring to those places. They are often more dirty as well with embedded dirt.
