does anyone carry extra gas can in the car?
gas prices fluctuate so much that it would be cheaper to fill up extra gas can when it is cheaper.

no, not a good idea. especially, if you were to get into an accident...

:whs:
I have a gas tank that was installed from the factory for that!

Gas goes up $0.05 a gallon, you fill up 20 gallons, you saved $1.00 by driving around with a potential bomb in your car. I'll pass.

Amen to that, not too mention the continuous gas stench in your vehicle.

Let's see...
looks like you're in Canada...

This post reminds me of a story my grandfather told me.

He was in the ETO during WWII.

He said the first thing any savvy GI that drove a utility vehicle (we call them "Jeeps" now) did was to ditch the spare gas container strapped to the side.

In his words: "One bullet into that can, and you could kiss your [arse] goodbye."

Fluctuating gas prices don't really bug me... What bugs be is how they make it about 10cents more expensive per gallon if you pay with your debit card vs. cash. Debit is just as good as cash! It's so inconvenient, what the heck is their problem with that crap?

With card transactions costing up to 3.5%, at $3/gallon, there's the $0.10/ gallon fee they are reclaiming.

That's called the cost of doing business.

Around me it's very few stations that do that.

We have choices and I don't ever go to stations that charge for using a debit card.

Only a few select Mobil stations in our area do that. Wawa is cleaning their clocks.

There were none two years ago now there are 5 Wawa's within a 15 mile radius of me and they are always the cheapest gas too.

Unfortunately, all gas stations up here charge that ridiculous fee.

How can this practice continue to happen? You don't pay extra for groceries or clothes when you pay with a debit card, do you? Autogeek doesn't tack on extra fees when I buy from them using the card.

SMH..... :mad::mad:

u notice that u get extra rewards on your credit/debit card when u use it for gas...

They must be really small rewards. Lol
