Carrying Products

Dang, that is a lot. I go to target like 2 times a week. Girlfriend loves that place!! Walmart maybe 3 times a year!!

Very impressive Justin! The bucket caddy is a great idea! The water hose reel looks like a handy tool as well. You sould also get a seat on wheels. I have one and it is the best thing I bought to work on the cars. What do you do if there is no electricity or water? I took my car to a guy once "Big Lou", and he was big! He also did a mobile business. I saw a van with a generator and huge plastic tank inside filled with water.

I have a tank and an inverter. I just don't have a need for them now. When I get my side boxes in, I will be mounting my tank back to the bed. I just seen a generator today that I will be getting.

Its the EU1000....sounded like a small hummingbird!.....
Gotta have it!

He used to have a generator and 65 gallon jug of water. He never used it, so made a requirement that a spicket and electricity be provided before he comes out to you. No I am not a stalker.

No prob.
I've had alot of business ideas and this is the only one I've ever pursued. I only wish I had 8 years ago!

If anyone can learn from my mistakes, I'll gladly let them.

an hour...ve got 2 within 5- 10 minutes of my house, both supers, and a target as well.

What were your other ideas? ;) I am also a wannabe entreprenuer. I just have to go at it with a little more passion and energy. 1 car detailed so far in my business. e36 m3 lined up and a blazer. :D

Well one reason I chose detailing (other than I love it) is that it is a reoccuring service. I also have another side business as a moble audio/video installer but it's more of a one time sale. The good thing is, over the last month I've been able to work both hand in hand. I just tell the customer after I've detailed their vehicle that I can also install stereo equipment and all I charge is labor. I get ANYTHING for cost and pass that on to the customer.

Now you even know more about me!

e36 ftw!:applause:

i was also planning to make a reqirement that outlets and water are available and shaded area(garage or cover of some sort) might be necessary too. or else they come to me. yea lets hear some ideas cause im at that point where i need to start doing some work of my own

Well requiring shade might be kind of hard. Justin just brings a little tent with him. You might consider investing in one. They run about 100 bucks for a 10x10 or 12x12. Most houses/places of business offer some sort of outdoor electricity and water spigot. That is a reasonable requirement considering you are WASHING a car. Good luck and PM me if you have anymore questions.

yea we have an EZup here at the house....i used it once detailing my own car. i know it seems harsh but that would only be for doing some sort of waxing or polishing or anything i cant do in direct sunlight. i could do a full interior and wash the car (quickly to avoid waterspots) and stuff like that outside...it would just be hot which sucks for me

LOL, I can't dry quick enough without shade. The blower I have doesn't work very well on non-AG maintained vehicles.

I only use mine maybe 1-2 days a week. I do my washes and interiors in the sun. I start early in the morning....6-7 am and finish at 1-2pm. This normally gives me alot of natural shade here in the mountains.

Once again, I have no problems asking for water and power. As I've posted before, they seem to expect it.

Dang, that is early. I have school from 8-11 am, so I can't exactly do anything like that. I've started as early as 3:30, but I generally start around 6 pm for just washes.

Then you have the other side of the spectrum. Or trees in my case.

Lucky... Not a lot of trees like there is in the midwest. I went to Minnesota and Colorado, and boy do they have a lot of trees.

I also use zip lock bags in three sizes for storage of pads. For towels I use plastic bins. Being in the mobile side of the business I can't wait for spring here in Michigan. I have two water resistant bags that I have available and can even have your name or company logo stitched on the bag. These will be with me and filled with tools ,polishes, towels, pads etc. This will help me stay organized and in view when detailing at a customers. If you just want to take a look at the bags they can be seen at djpavlica.com.
